Hyunjin- My mafia

It was a normal day. You woke up as usual and went into your training room. 

Your dad was the greatest mafia's son, and you had to live up to him. Your mom recently died of natural causes, (Let's all live a healthy life and die of natural causes – Lee Minho) or at least that's what you've heard. 

You didn't get to see her often anyways, so you didn't grieve too much. Your dad never wanted to talk about her either. You think they might have been enemies once and was forced into arranged marriage. 

Today was a special day for your dad. All mafias from every family in your country was gonna meet up today. 

You overheard a conversation with your dad and another man where they planned this. 

Since you are from the greatest mafia family and the only child of your dad, you also overheard him talking about possible arranged marriage. 

This was horrible news to you, as you planned to run away when you turned 18. You never liked the mafia way of living. You preferred living in peace with society, but this would all end soon.

-Time skip-

The gathering started. Your dad was standing at the podium, about to make a speech. 

You clearly heard all he said while he stood there, but forgot it shortly after. Until... He suddenly made a quick announcement and you listened very closely. 

"I'm sorry to disturb you all, but I have some important news to tell and they are the main reason why I called for this meeting in the first place." He started. "As you all know, my oldest daughter Y/N is turning 18 soon and might be taking over soon. But I want her to be secure in her decisions, so not a single mistake will be made, and that is why I have decided..." 

You were about to cry. He's about to make you marry a man you've never met. You didn't want to end up as your mom. You just wanted a peaceful life. 

Your dad continued: "That we will unite with the Hwang family. I have always been really close to them. Mr. Hwang has been with me through all my teenage years and never left my side. I am very happy to announce the marriage of Y/N and Hyunjin that will be held in two days! I invite you all to come, since this will change a lot in all our lives. Thank you for coming and I'll hopefully see you soon" He finished. 

You were left in tears. How could he? You're his only daughter, yet he sold you like a pig to a man you've never met! 

You wiped your tears; you didn't want to be seen as weak. You went back to your room and fell asleep crying; yes, you let yourself cry.

-Time skip to next day-

"Y/N!" Your dad called. "What?" you said, clearly angry. 

"I'm sorry love, but I need a secure future. Plus Mr. Hwang's son isn't too bad." 

"You need a secure future!?" You yelled. "What about me?! You never even asked me! I haven't met the man, and I don't want to end up as you and mom did." You said and stomped off.

-Time skip to the wedding day-

You got to meet the Hyunjin guy before your wedding. Sure, he was handsome but that doesn't do much. 

"I'm sorry about this... I didn't know either." He started. 

You just hummed, still not looking at him. 

"Look, I know you don't want this but stop pretending it's my fault. I didn't choose this, and we're gonna live together for a long time, so try and at least pretend you like me." He was getting a little angry. 

"Sorry, it's just...." You started tearing up. 

He pulled you close into a hug and patted you on your head. "It's gonna be okay, I'm sorry for raising my voice." 

You stayed like that for a while before you pulled back and wiped your tears. "I better get ready." You said.

-time skip to the actual wedding-

It was time for the wedding now. You could hear hundreds of people out in the venue. You looked at your hands nervously. 

The music started playing and you walked up to the alter. 

Hyunjin smiled at you. He mouthed a quick "It's gonna be okay". 

The music stopped and the mafia preacher started: "Y/N and Hyunjin, through thick and thin- " Blah blah blah and so on. 

"You may now kiss the bride." The mafia preacher said. 

Hyunjin didn't hesitate and went straight to your mouth. There wasn't a roar of clapping, just complete silence. This was the mafia way. Anyways you got married and you and Hyunjin became friends.
