Sneaky Devil~: Angel x Devil au

Hey everyone it is your lovable angel, Nene Yashiro! Now, I have been called upon to do a task that the people needed help with! There have been a trickster demon around and I have to take him down! With the help of some Kannushi from the shrine I get prayers from. But enough of me- let's find him!

Nene followed the slight clues that the demon left behind, slight bits of choppy fur, considering kitsunes are deemed to be sneaky tricksters, but it could also be a tanuki. Yet the dear daikon followed suit through her investigation, finding herself at a cave that was heavily covered in vegetation. Being careful to not destroy the life, she slipped past and into the cave, not being able to see well. "Come on out Kitsune! You are causing too much trouble for the villagers!"

There must have been a reason why exorcists couldn't have taken him down, at least the Minamoto clan could have. "Well well well, what's a divine little daikon like you doing in a demon's cave? Shouldn't you be in your shrine? Hm? Normally when I get visitors I get thrown out!" The demon didn't seem pleased, an ambered glare shooting into her own faded soul. Nene stood her ground, her hand going to her side with the 'holy' sword she had, she doubted it was holy- but it was useful.

"Please excuse my intrusion, but the villagers would like you to stop harming them, be it their crops or causing mischief in their houses, they sent me because the exorcists couldn't banish you." The glare steeled, an embered fire sparking at the cave's entrance, the Kitsune was not pleased. "Banish me? Hah! I have been here for over 5 decades, long before they settled on my land! And they wish to have you- a lowly servant of a long dead god- to banish me?! What a laugh! I used to roam these lands making them flourish with twisting trees, and they took them down and set up a village and shabby shrine!"

He had crept ever closer to the entrance of the cave, his eyes cold with anger, but oddly enough- not at Nene, but at the thought that they sent a weak angel to fight him, who was 5 times more stronger than she was. "Listen, you are like a baby to me in means of strength, you wouldn't survive one bite! What do those humans even give you? A false sword and maybe some spare change? They moved from that weird city of theirs, Kyoto was it? That old capital... This land was once teeming with creatures of myth, both demons and spirits, but those silly humans think they killed us?"

Nene knew he wasn't going to leave, and she didn't even want to fight him, but the village depended on her for safety, but she also missed her best friend. Yet the more she thought, the more it seemed off, why worship her when the true protector was there, he was there and they ignored him! "D... Don't move, I'll be right back- I have to figure something out-"

He growled but didn't try to make her go farther, only watching as the girl left the cave. He wasn't really angry at her though, no. He was just disgruntled at the pitiful humans asking an angel that was basically a foot soldier, no other offensive maneuvers were taught to her. "She is as useless as a pup..."

His gaze trailed after the angel, a bit of jealousy flickering in his eyes, but he forced it away. It would do nothing to aid his goals in gaining revenge. "And if humans don't banish me, they will pay dearly!"

He walked along the mountain ridge, following the trail he made earlier that day, he wouldn't stay put in his cave, that was boring, especially since his brother was the one causing most of the problems. Tsukasa, the true demon that was ruining the villager's life, but he couldn't do anything about it, the other was a night stalker, and it was not good to be out after dark due to it.
