You're Safe With Me (P2)

(Oh hey, I'm waiting again- hopefully- ;-;)

When one has their doubts, another has their certainty. This is what led Nene to believe that her stalker would be back, even with police intervention... Yet there weren't all too many sightings of him, much to her relief, but that didn't mean he wasn't lurking around.

Most of the time she had her mother walk with her, or Aoi, but since the stalker was a guy, Akane was also there.

Akane didn't necessarily say he would protect Nene, but if it kept Aoi happy, he would do anything for the love of his life, the "Brightest Royal Dahlia" because she could never be compared with common lavender. So Nene was left with her mom and Aoi as backup. It was actually pretty cool to have some more people around.

"I hope he doesn't show up," Nene said in a low voice, glancing at her watch again. The stalker hadn't shown up yet, which made her a little nervous. It wasn't like him to not come after her - even though he did look like the type to go around stalking women. Maybe this was just a coincidence. After all, she wasn't the only person to be stalked by him.But it still made her feel uneasy.

"You think he'll get mad at me for telling you?" Aoi asked. "... Probably not? You have Akane, and I doubt he is going to fight a boy who would casually grab a bat if it meant getting your approval to date..." Aoi hummed shortly, it wasn't wrong of Nene to think that, Akane would do anything for Aoi, even if it meant getting his hands dirty.

"But you also have someone else who would grab a bat, don't you? I've seen him around a bit, but I don't know his name. I usually see him looking at you in a softer way than what the stalker guy does..." Nene stared at Aoi momentarily, trying to figure out who it was before it dawned on her that the person was Amane. " Oh! he helped me get away from the stalker one time, and I guess he took it up on himself to keep an eye out!"

As time went on, Aoi and Nene had found themselves back at the farmer's market, or at least what was left of it. Due to the Stalker, the streets weren't as full, but there were more adults around when there were kids around. This meant that the Stalker probably wouldn't show up here, but he had been bold enough to show up across the street in front of her house from time to time. " Speaking of Amane... he lived around here... it would be nice to talk to him again, I kinda miss his company"  Nene admitted.

there was a small cafe nearby, so the two decided to go there to take a break from 'searching' for the problem, and yet everything seems to keep going wrong

The bell above the door chimed, making both Nene and Aoi turn around. A man walked inside the cafe, looking around, and Nene recognized him immediately from the first time she saw him. He wore a black shirt and pants, paired with dark sunglasses and black boots. The sunglasses hid his eyes somewhat, which Nene thought was quite strange for a stalker. He had the same hairstyle as she remembered - dusty shaggy brown hair and black sunglasses that covered his eyes. He seemed rather tall, almost towering over the other customers inside.

This time Nene wasn't scared of him, she thought of him as more of an annoying fly that kept going around her, rather than a sad sap of a man. Since she and Aoi were in the far corner of the cafe, they were slightly hidden from the Stalker, but of course- as soon as he spotted Nene, he took a seat directly in her field of vision, a few tables behind Aoi. He pulled off his sunglasses, looking straight at Nene while he smiled a charming smile. "Hello there." He mouthed, not wanting to alert Aoi to his presence. It was weird, seeing him smile in such a relaxed manner, without much malice. Not that the smile was necessarily innocent either. He looked as if he knew he'd win whatever game he was playing, but it seemed like he didn't care about winning anything more than Nene's attention.
