The next morning everyone was doing their jobs. Ingrid and Minho just came out of the Maze when they heard Thomas screaming.
Thomas: Help! Help!
Thomas was running from the deadheads with Ben running after him.
Thomas: Help!
Ingrid: Thomas!
Ingrid ran over with a stick ready to attack Ben.
Ben: I'll kill you
Ingrid: Hey!
Ingrid hit Ben with a stick hard on the face so he will get off Thomas.
Newt: Hold him down
Gally: Calm down
Thomas: What are you doing?
Gally: Calm down Ben
Frypan: Yo, what the hell happened?
Thomas: He just attacked me
Ingrid: Hey you okay?
Thomas: Yeah
Gally: Calm down Ben
Alby comes over to see what's going on.

Alby: Lift his shirt
Ben: I didn't mean it!

Gally lifted his shirt up to see that he had been stung.

Gally: He's been stung, In the middle of the day?
Ingrid: Chuck what about you go back to your hammock okay

Chuck walks away.

Ably: Put him in the pit
Gally: Everybody help, take him to the pit

Newt: Medjack

Newt: Calm down

Ben was taken away to the pit.
Thomas: So, what happened to him?
Ingrid: It's called the Changing, it's what happened when someone gets stung, Come I will explain everything
Ingrid and Thomas head over to her hut.
Ingrid: Listen we haven't been able to get a clear word out of Ben since it happened, you know, he's not making any sense and it's only gonna get worse, the infection is spreading he's dangerous, what did he say to you?
Thomas: Um...he said he saw me and that this is all my fault, how could this be my fault?
Ingrid: I'm not sure Tommy
Thomas: What's gonna happen to him?
Ingrid: You'll see
Later that day everyone was at the Maze gates waiting for Ben to come over. Finally Minho came over with Ben tied up.
Ben: Just listen to me, just please listen to me, please Minho, Alby, Ingrid!
Minho untied Ben and he fell on his knees. Ben starts to cry.
Ben: No, no, please, please don't, please don't do it
Minho throws a bag in the Maze. Ben starts walking back.
Alby: Poles!
Everyone that had a pole pointed the pole to Ben.
Ben: No, no, no
Ingrid: Chuck don't look okay
Chuck: I'm gonna go back to my hammock
Ingrid: Okay bud
Chuck heads back to his hut.
Alby: Move in!
Ingrid turns her face away holding on Thomas's arm.
Ingrid: I can't do this
Thomas: It's okay
Then Jeff gives Ingrid Ben's charm.
Ben: No, no, no, no please
Everyone with a pole moves in and Ben gets pushed into the Maze.
Ben: No, please, please, please, please don't!
Ben pushed closer into the Maze.
Ben: No, please, please, please don't!, No, I can get better! Please! Just listen to me!
Alby: Push him in!
Ben: No stop! I'll get better! I'll get better!
Ben gets trapped in the Maze.
Alby: He belongs to the Maze now
Everyone goes back to their jobs.
Scott: Messed up
Later that night.
Thomas: Do you think he might make it?
Chuck: Ben? No
Ingrid: Chuck you should get some sleep
Chuck: Okay goodnight Ingrid
Ingrid: Night kid
Chuck falls asleep.
Ingrid: No one survives a night in the Maze you just gotta forget about him
Thomas: How many guys have got stung when you arrived
Ingrid: 10, when I came here there was 60 boys and I watch each one of them get pushed into the Maze to die
Thomas: Ben was a runner right?
Ingrid: He was, I know being a Runner is dangerous but I want people to leave this place have a chance of the outside world
Thomas: So you are still a runner for them
Ingrid: This my family, the Glade is a family Thomas, we protect each other

Ingrid stands up.
Thomas: Good night
Ingrid heads back to her hut and goes to bed.
