The next morning Thomas wakes up to see Newt and Ingrid saying goodbye to Minho and Alby as they head to the Maze.
Newt: Be safe Minho
Minho: I will don't worry
Ingrid: Come back okay Min
Minho: I will bean
Alby: Alright, Newt, Ingrid you're in charge
Ingrid: Got it
Minho and Alby run into the Maze. Later that day. Ingrid was helping Newt and Zart cut a tree.
Thomas: All right, but why would Alby go in the Maze? I mean, he's not a– he's not a Runner
Ingrid: Things are different now, Alby went to retrace Ben's footsteps before sundown, look are you gonna help?
Thomas: So he's gonna go back to where Ben was just stung?
Newt: Alby knows what he's doing, All right? He knows better than any of us
Thomas: What does that mean?
Newt: All right, it's like you've heard, yeah? Every month the Box sends up a new arrival but someone had to be first, right? Someone had to have spent a whole month in the Glade alone and that was Alby, I mean, it can't have been easy but when those other boys started coming up on after the other, he saw the truth and he learned that the most important thing is that we all have each other because we're all in this together
Thomas: Just like you said Ingrid
Ingrid: Yeah we are like a big family
Newt: A family, Ingrid is like a sister to all of us but she is my sister by blood for them sister by choice
Ingrid: So are you helping or not
Thomas got up and started to cut the tree.
Newt: Yeah, there you go Greenie
Then they hear some thunder in the distance. Then it starts to rain and they go to take shelter.
Thomas: They should be back by now, what happens if they don't make it?
Newt: They're gonna make it
Thomas: And what happens if they don't?
Newt: They're gonna make it
Ingrid: They have to make it we can't lose anyone else
Newt: Listen they're gonna make it
Later when the rain stopped everyone was waiting at the front of the Maze doors.
Thomas: Come on, guys, can't we send someone after them?
Gally: That's against the rules, either they make it back or they don't
Newt: Can't risk losing anyone else
Then the doors start to close.

Thomas points at Miho and Alby struggling to get out.
Newt: Wait, no, something's wrong
Ingrid: Come on, Min, you can do it!
Everyone: Come on! Come on, Minho
Ingrid: Come on! You can make it!
Gally: Minho, you gotta leave him!
Newt: They're not gonna make it
Ingrid: No they have to make it!
Ingrid grabs on to Newt's hand.
Gally: You gotta leave him!
Then Thomas runs through the doors to Minho and Alby.
Gally: Hey!
Ingrid: Tommy, no!
Then the door shut.
Ingrid: No, no, someone open these goddamn doors!
Newt: Ingrid!
Ingrid: Come on!
Newt: Ingrid!
Ingrid turned to face Newt with tears in her eyes.
Newt: We can't do anything about them
Ingrid: I can't lose them!
Newt: We just have to let go
Ingrid: No!
Newt: Ingrid, they're not coming back, okay
Ingrid: No, no, they have to, they have to
Newt hugged Ingrid tightly before heading back to their jobs.
Ingrid: I'm just gonna go into the deadheads and practice my archery

Ingrid grabbed her bow and arrow then went into the deadheads.
