I dashed into the café not bothering about people who were seated, after recovering from my ocean of thoughts and spotted Katie.
"Am I late, Am I late?" I asked her, starting to hyperventilate. Of, course I was late. Now it's 6:15 and I'm supposed to be here by 6.
"Hey, Ae-cha! Calm down girl. You are not late. You are actually 45 minutes early." Katie had an evil smirk on her face.
"What do you mean by 45 minutes early?" I asked her with eyes twitching.
"Oops! I lied to you about the working hours so that we could spend some time before starting with the work. Your working time actually starts from 7pm." She gave a goofy grin.
"Thanks for giving me a near thing to panic attack." I sighed.
"Come on. I'll introduce you to the others." With that she pulled me to a room at the far end of the café, which is only for the staffs accessibility, I guess.
We entered a medium sized room, that looked like a living room without couches, but it had some long benches. There were two guys sitting on one of the benches and were kicking each other.
"Hey, guys. This is Ae-cha. The new girl." Katie said, "They are always like this, fighting with each other for lame reasons. So, don't give it a damn." She said quietly, leaning closer to me.
The guys stopped with their kicking, perked up as they looked at me. One of them looked cute with green eyes and messy hair and the other looked handsome with the same green eyes but neatly trimmed hair.
"Hi, I'm Michael." The cute one jumped in front of me, yeah he did jump, and stretched his hand out.
"Hello. I'm Ae-cha." I shook hands with him with a small smile.
"Hey, Ae-cha! I'm William." The handsome one said with a small wave, that resembled like the one that Woo-bin sunbae does when we happen to meet.
"Hi." I said, again with a small smile.
"We are actually like a team. We have same working hours." Katie said after we settled on the bench with the guys sitting.....beside me? Huff.
"Sounds cool. Why's that you guys are here so early?" I asked Katie.
"Just to give you an epic welcome." Michael said with a broad smile, from my left and William was beside Michael.
"But the idea was mine." William growled at Michael.
"But I shook hands with her first and welcomed her first." Michael snapped back and then they started fighting again. Wow! Really matured team, I've got.
Katie and I shifted to the other bench, giving some space for the guys to fight. Hehe.
"Those retards are my cousins." Katie said, pointing to Michael and William.
"And they are brothers." She said with a smile.
"What?Brothers?" I asked, seriously surprised. They don't look like one, even a bit.
"Yeah, yeah! William's mom died giving birth to him, so his dad married Michael's mom. William is a year older than Michael but they are in same grade, since Michael being a smart ass, got himself a double promotion in 3rd grade, I guess." She said. So they are like me and Yi-jung too!
"Oh! Do they get along well or fight seriously being stepbrothers?" I asked out of stupid curiosity.
"They never fight seriously. They even stand up for each other when either one of them is in trouble. They love and care for each other but never expresses it." She chuckled. Awe, that's so cute. I inwardly exhaled, loudly, thinking about my relationship with Yi-jung. He's never gonna accept me, in this life.
