INTRODUCTORY

Yusei Fudo won the duel against former Chief Takasu. Since he had won, he and (Reader) Sekiguchi were granted a pardon from their respective prison sentences by the Public Maintenance Department Director, Rex Godwin.

The released pair were going to separate to pursue their own goals, but Yusei had second thoughts. The female outlander insisted on him to go on without her; however, the male protagonist refused. He wished for her to come with him, and despite her reluctance, she accepted.

Thus, the trespasser duo began to head to Bootleg to find a man named Saiga, who would help Yusei find his confiscated deck and D-Wheel. Just when things were going to be easy for the criminal pair, the pair were being followed.
