In the evening, at the top floor of the Tops, a busy Yusei sat at the couch in the living room. He was fixing Lua's Duel Disk, for the Duel Disk kept falling before and during the duel they had earlier.

Whilst he was working, his mind wandered toward what happened in the escape from the Security Warehouse.

Last night, outside that said area, Yusei and (Reader) were electrocuted by a group of Sector Security. The criminal duo screamed in pain from the electocution. Yet, despite that, the pair managed to get away.

The woman mouthed, "We're... out of here...!"

The duelist agreed, "...Yeah."

The male protagonist appeared slightly weak from the shocks; however, it didn't stop him from trying to keep his D-Wheel steady. He continued to drive further.

Suddenly, Yusei felt something press against his back. Had figured that (Reader) was exhausted, he called to her, "Sekiguchi, are you okay?"

The second the hero looked over his shoulder, his eyes dilated in astonishment. His female companion's body pressed against his back, and her head rested on the back of his right shoulder. Her hair bangs covered her eyes. Her mouth was slightly parted, but no breath came out. On top of all that, her arms had lost their grip on his waist.

"Sekiguchi...?" he called to her again.

Her arms fell from his waist. From that alone, the worried Yusei discovered that she became unconscious.

"...Sekiguchi!?" he shouted, "Sekiguchi, stay with me! Wake up!"

Unfortunately, (Reader) didn't respond.

To make matters worse, while he attempted to wake her up, the duelist's D-Wheel started to malfunction. He tried to maintain the balance of his vehicle, but it started to skid toward a different direction. Yusei gripped onto the handles of his D-Wheel whilst he attempted to gain some control of his faulty vehicle.

As he did, his malfunctioning D-Wheel drove him and (Reader) into an alleyway of the Tops. The second the vehicle crashed into the wall and several boxes, the unconscious (Reader) fell out of the D-Wheel.
