Jack flew back to his hometown while carrying Sophie. He couldn't help but chuckle as she clung to him like a lifeline while she slept.
Entering her room, he goes to put her down but she had him tightly which ended up with him climbing over the bed and placing her down. He struggled as she was now choking him and removed her arms and stepped back.
His eyes widened as Sophie rolled over and landed on the ground. Baby Tooth gasped and checked on her but she was completely knocked out.
"Sophie? Is that you?" they heard Sophie's mom call from the other room.
Jack looked around and threw the blanket over her, making her seem like she fell on her own. He turns around but saw Baby Tooth throwing the plushie at him and caught it before throwing it at Sophie.
Jack grimaced as he and Baby Tooth flew out of the window, closing it quietly. "We should get back."
Baby Tooth nods as she starts heading back to the Warren when Jack stopped. He frowned. He could have sworn, he heard something.
Baby Tooth seemed to notice and turned to him, seeing him look around.
Jack!
Jack's eyes widened as he heard it again. "That voice, I know that voice..." he murmured, looking around.
Jack!
Jack turned to his left and flew in that direction. Baby Tooth whimpered before following him. His nervous antics were making her nervous too. Jack kept going as he wandered himself on a rotating vent.
He waited as he heard it again. He turned to the closest sound and flew again. Hearing the echoes around him, made him sure to keep going as he landed near the forest.
Jack furrowed his brows as he was now walking to the call. Passing by a few trees, he frowned as he saw the rotting frame of a child's bed in the middle of the woods. It was so quiet.
Jack almost hesitated from going closer but cautiously walked forward. Baby Tooth tried to intervene and he tried to gently shrug her off. "Don't worry, there's still time."
Baby Tooth rolled her eyes and cautiously followed him too. Jack walked and looked closely at the bed. He noticed that underneath the bed, there was a deep hole.
Gripping his staff, he smashed down on the wood enough for a person to fit through. The wood broke as they fell down. It took Jack a while to hear a thump below to notice how deep it was.
Jack?!
Hearing the voice again, he jumped through. Baby Tooth's eyes widened and followed him. She was getting frantic for them to leave as she had a bad feeling something was happening. As Jack landed on the ground, she immediately started grabbing his sweater which he was getting annoyed at.
