"How do you know La Llorona, Jack?" North turned to the boy who was desperately looking around for the girl.
"Yeah," Bunny turned to him too while Sandy frowned.
Jack sighed as unclenched his fists, seeing the loose fallen petals in his hand. He remembered vividly collecting flowers for her crown. What does this mean? Was she with Pitch all this time?
Did she ignore him–No. She doesn't remember anything for who knows how long. Yet, she looked at him.
His heart dropped as he remembered the curiosity in her eyes as she stared at him solely.
"I was with her. I walked with her for 300 years," Jack whispered and turned to them. "Why did you do that to her? She's been suffering for ages and look at her now! She's with Pitch!"
"You don't understand, Jack," Tooth tried but Jack was having none of it.
"Yoltzin is not someone who carelessly kills or scares anybody for fun. She just wanted to find her kids! Even taking in orphans from the street. She's not evil."
"We must stop her," Bunny shook his head as he nodded to Tooth who had a green handprint on her neck. Jack frowned, looking closer.
"She...was taking my life force," Tooth rubbed her throat. "I feel so weak."
"Not evil, eh?" Bunny gave him a pointed look.
Jack shook his head, "She's not evil...she's suffering." He frowned as he thought of what came to the children she was taking care of.
Jack sighed, knowing he won't get any answers until he sees her. Alone. Although it would pain him to know she can't remember him or the kids she raised.
"Why would Pitch take the teeth?" Jack turned to Tooth who parted away from everyone.
"It's not the teeth he wanted. It's the memories inside them," Tooth placed her tooth capsule of a child on the ground.
"What do you mean?" Jack frowned.
Tooth stood up and slowly flew to a mural on the wall. Jack followed, icing the water as he saw a painting of kids handing her teeth.
"That's why we collect the teeth, Jack. They hold the most important memories of childhood," Tooth turned to him. "My fairies and I watch over them and when someone needs to remember what's important, we help them."
Jack took a second to look at and admire the mural.
"We had everyone's here," Tooth spoke up, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Yours too."
"My memories?" he frowned, turning to her.
"From when you were young. Before you became Jack Frost," she explained.
"But I wasn't anyone before I was Jack Frost," he shook his head as he took a step back.
"Of course you were. We were all someone before we were chosen," she frowned, confused about his reaction.
