"Yoltzin?" Jack gently shook her but no reaction from the girl. His lips quivered as he gasped for air before hugging her again, the realization hitting him.

"It's okay, it's okay," he sobbed, blinking away the tears. "You're safe with me, doll. I'm not leaving you...not again."

Baby Tooth sadly looked up at Jack who desperately tried to push down his feelings to console the girl. She tweeted at him but he kept trying.

Breathing in through his nose and out of his mouth, he couldn't help but scream. He screamed at the sky, screamed at the girl in order to wake her.

"Yoltzin! Please!" he sobbed.

Baby sympathetically flew to him and hugged his cheek in order to console but it only made him cry harder.

It felt like hours as he mourned for the girl, hugging her and rocking her back and forth gently. His voice cracked from the longing screams, leaving the freezing tears to fall instead.

"There were so many things I wanted to tell you," he whispered in the girl's hair. "Yet...I couldn't. I'm sorry..."

It was quiet. Only the blowing of the cold wind passed over them from above. He gently set the girl down, moving away the strands from her face.

Jack!

Jack gasped, flinching back and falling to the ground. He urgently tried to back away but his tooth capsule glowed from his pocket. Jack frowned, taking the capsule out and looking it over.

He sighed dejectedly. Hearing a tweet, he looked down to see Baby Tooth encouragingly tapping the capsule for him to see. Glancing back at Yoltzin's resting body, he tapped on the capsule gently as everything started to flood in his memories.

A young Jack with brown hair and eyes grinned at his sister and mother. He waved his hands in the air as he ran away while they called out to him. He was a childish young teen as he played tricks on his sister and his friends.

Along with giving funny and scary stories to them at the campfire. He remembered vividly foretelling scary stories to the kids while scaring them after.

Jack remembered helping his mother gather firewood in the middle of the night for dinner when he can faintly hear the wailing cries in the forest. He wasn't able to catch who it was so he ran back to his family and locked the doors.

Until one day, he and his little sister walked out of the house with ice skates over his shoulder.

"Be careful," his mother gave them a pointed look.

He gave one back with a smile, "We will." He followed his sister soon after. They skated on the ice for what seemed like hours. Goofily showing off their tricks at each other until sunset.
