5th grade

"Hey N/n! Guess what! Guess what I got!!!"

You glanced to your left to see your best friend running towards you waving around something yellow, from what you could tell had more colors. You already figured it out that it was something All Might related, knowing the All Might fanboy quite well.

"Oh? What'd you get?!"

You matched his excitement, making Midoriya smile wider and hop and spin around you.

"It's a new All Might figure!! It's a pose he did in his last fight!!"

"Woah! Let me see! I wanna see it!"

He opened his hands and handed it to you. You glanced over it and smiled, taking note of every part of it.

"This is so cool, Mido!"

"I know right?! Ah wait I also got these!!"

He turned around to drop his bag and search through it. You glanced back at the figure admiring it and making you laugh lightly at how happy it made your best friend. He suddenly turned around and pushed something up to your face. It was a little key chain with half of a heart. It had half of a picture of all night with the words 'friends' written under it.

"I have the other side! See?"

He put the two sides up to one another, making a full heart. The picture was All Mights signature pose and now the words matched together, 'Best Friends'.

"Ah! No way! You got us matching keychains?!"

"Yeah! I saw them in the store and my mom said I should get one for you and one for me!"

You hugged him and smiled brightly. You were touched at the fact that your childhood friend had thought of you, even though his mom recommended them. You had your arms around his back and you felt him place his around your waist, happily returning your hug.

"Thank you! I'll keep it forever and always have it on me! No matter what!"

You noticed a woman walking up to you, recognizing her immediately. She had a warm smile and walked up to you two.

"Y/n, are you coming over to play with Izuku? We would be delighted to have you."

She smiled sweetly, squinting her eyes and giving off that warm motherly aura you barely recognized and rarely received from your own. She had been gone for so long at this point that you barely remembered her voice. You loved your mother unconditionally but she began to leave for longer and longer, making you stuck with your dry and cold dad.

"Yes please! Can I sleepover too?"

"Of course!"

She responded and walked past you, expecting you two to follow, in which you did. You smiled and laughed and ran after Midoriya's mom.

She started the car as you two laughed and giggled and Midoriya continued to talk about how cool All Might looked. He ranted about how many people he saved and how he, himself wanted to do the exact same thing when he became a hero, also including you about how you were going to help save just as many people. His mom listened in on your conversation and smiled again. She pulled up to her house and unlocked the car, getting out along the two of you. Midoriya messed and played with the door, repeating to his mom to hurry up he could go play with you. He didn't say it in a rude way, just an overly excited way because he wanted to play and it was 'taking up his time.'

"Moooom! Please, please, pleaseee! I wanna play!!!"

"Haha, okay Izuku calm down!"

She laughed and grabbed her keys looking for the right one. As soon as the click was heard and the door opened, Midoriya dragged you along upstairs.

"W-Wait, Izuku, I need to make sure L/n's mom and dad are okay with it!"

"Don't worry Ms. Midoriya! My mom doesn't mind!"

You were dragged into his room straight after. You sat on his bed and laid down. Midoriya jumped on the bed right next to you, making you move away slightly so you didn't get jumped on.

"Midoo, I'm tireddd I wanna sleep."
You groaned and grabbed his All Might blanket and put it over your eyes.

"Nooo come on N/n! I wanna play!"

He took his blanket off you and placed it to his side.

"We can go watch a movieee or watch the new All Might video! We can also go play outside or play hide and seek!"

You groaned and glanced at your best friend. You held the key chain in your hand, not letting go of it once. Looking at his puppy eyes, you couldn't say no to him.

"Fine I'll do whatever you want. But you owe me! Next time we're getting ice cream!"

"Deal!"

He jumped down and had you follow him to the computer. He unlocked it and put a chair next to his for you to sit next to him. You two watched that video for over an hour. You had fallen asleep not too long ago. Midoriya glanced over at you and asked his mom to come pick you up so you two could go to bed.

His mom had placed you on Midoriya's bed and bid the two of you goodnight. She kissed his head and ruffled his hair pushing the blanket up so it would cover the both of you. Midoriya tucked you in, just as his mother did to him and laid next to you, falling asleep.

2 days later

"We're gonna be the top dogs, Midoriya! Finally! 6th grade goodbyeee!!!"

You two were finally graduating 6th grade and you seemed more excited than anyone. As you sat, eating some random food you got from the school cafeteria, a loud kick was heard from the door, and in came the explosive blonde bully. A scowl replaced your calm face and you grumbled.

"Hey Deku. What are you doing in my classroom."

"This isn't your classroom idiot. This is a school if you didn't remember? Not your throne."

You moved closer to Midoriya in hopes that he would leave him alone. He didn't, of course.

"I would move quirkless girl unless you wanna get hurt like last time."

He smugly smirked and huffed out, looking back at the two kids who laughed. His little minions.

"Last time? I clearly remember landing a punch on you, and you still got in trouble."

You bit into your food, breaking eye contact with him. You could practically feel the rage spitting out from him. His ego has grown way too damn much over the years.

"C'mon Kacchan..we didn't do anything.."

"Shut up Deku. Mind you own business unless you want burns on your face."

"Excuse me, you won't touch him. You put a burn on him, and I'll break your jaw."

You stopped eating and looked up at Bakugo. It over and beyond pissed you off when he threatened to hurt Midoriya with his quirk. Seriously? How could he. What made him think this was what a hero did? It angered you how much he attacked Midoriya, and the reason was barely known or even understood.

"Let's go Y/n."

Midoriya grabbed your wrist and quickly ran out before Bakugo could protest. He dragged you to a open classroom and hid in the back so Bakugo couldn't find you as well.

"Y/n, your okay right?"

"Come on, Izuku. Don't let him push you around. Heroes remember? We have a promise."

He smiled.

"Yeah..our promise. Don't worry, Y/n. I'll be safe."
