Well that was fast. You thought it would have taken longer to get the U.A. letters. It had only taken a week, surprisingly. You stared at the letter as you slightly shook, nervous about what the contents were inside the letter. You finally decided to walk up to your room and open it, just hoping that what it said inside was what you worked so hard for. If you didn't make it to U.A. your father probably wouldn't ever stop telling you about what a disappointment you were, and how even after you trained for so long, you still weren't strong enough.

You sat at your chair, scooting closer and getting comfortable. You breathed in and out to calm yourself down, and looked down at the letter. The corner had been slightly bent, being mixed with the other mail. You could feel your hands getting sweatier by the second, and not wanting it to ruin the letter, you quickly opened it. All Might popped out from the letter, showing a screen, as his smile shined bright, even through the pixelated window thing.

"I came to this town to work here!"

He was working at U.A.?

"You did a great job, young L/n! You passed the writing exam, and no doubt, passed the practical as well! You have shown us that you would be a great hero! Welcome to U.A.! HAHAHA!!"

You were relieved, although you continued to shake. You worked so hard to become a hero and now that you were on the path, you kinda went blank. He explained how well you did in the practical, with plenty of points, and your written was pretty good as well. You knew you didn't do as good on the written because over the years you weren't really taught a lot if that.

"We were surprised as well, young L/n. We didn't see much use of your quirk, using your wits and smarts to pass and get through robots. I am proud of you, young L/n."

You were surprised to hear that from him. Those words weren't often spoken to you. He was aware of what happened years ago, about the accident with your quirk, yet he never treated you or saw you differently, afterward. Even your grandmother, after she had found out always held a look of pity in her eyes. Pity or resentment was what you usually saw in people when they were told about your past, so seeing him look at you proudly made you feel refreshed.

"Thank you, All Might...." You mumbled.

You closed the circular technological thing and set it aside.

"Grams? Where are you?"

"Hello, sweetheart. I saw the U.A. Letter. How did it go?"

"I uh..i got in.."

"That's wonderful, dear. Why sound so unsure?"

"Just surprised? I dunno? I'm excited though."

"Good."

She smiled, as the wrinkles on the woman's face, turned upward.

"Have you told your father yet?"

She had turned toward her room, as you followed behind.

"No, but I will. You think he'll be happy?"

"You can never know with him, honey. Only expect little response."

You knew he didn't care, only wished he showed a little compassion and gave you the happy dad smile other kids got.

"So you did get into U.A. Good. Did you get top of the class?"

Speak of the devil.

"Hi dad. Um I did well on my practical, they were surprised I didn't use my quirk too much. I don't know about my written, but i'm sure I did well. I got into 1-A, so I guess I did get top class.."
