Chapter 4

[2018]

(Two months before joining the Shaw Pack)

Knocking on the blue door, I waited for my cover-up 'father' to open. Looking around I saw two rocking chairs with yellow pillows settled on them, along with a porch swing and a table. The door opened and I saw what he looked like. He had reddish brown hair, like me, along with amber eyes. His pale yellow shirt had a small logo of a flower, with small text saying 'Another Flower Another Power, he had blue jeans on and boots.

"You're Edith right? The kid I'm taking care of for Will." He asked carefully. I nodded, " I parked my car a house away, if you don't mind I brought some stuff to put in the guest bedroom." He nodded in return. Walking down the porch we walked over to my car, it was gray and small. I had two other vehicles but they were flashy so I chose this one.

We made small talk, he told me that he had a daughter although she doesn't talk much because they're both busy. I told him that I won't bother much and all we have to do is be comfortable with each other. Also telling him that I plan to tell the Alpha of the Pack that you don't have a clue where I am and think I have a lot of jobs. He agreed with my story, saying that it would relieve him of a lot of duty's.

I carried the majority of my bags, while he got the ones I couldn't. I put them all in a corner, and he placed them near me. He asked if I would prefer anything to eat, or would I have take-out. I said I would get take-out. He nodded and went to the kitchen, I started to unpack my things. He made the room empty. In which I'm glad he did, by the end of the day I had the room set up. Walking out of the room, I walked past the kitchen and told him I was going somewhere to get food.

"Make sure you can protect yourself from creeps." He hollered as I closed the door, I walked out to my car. It was in okay condition, and what you'd expect a fifteen year old would have. Getting in I put in the key and started it. Getting out of the two cars I was in between successfully, distancing myself from the neighborhood to go to eat at probably Max's Rustic pizza.

After getting my order from a guy called Guy, funnily enough, I went back to the faux 'dad' house. I need to ask him his name and number. I drove away from the pizza place, which I heard a car accident happened near here years ago, to a park. I had finished the wings I had got, I went out and went for a stroll.

The cold air was nice against me, I need to ask if producing a lot of heat is normal once I'm more? What? Closer as to seem not weird, yeah. Getting back inside of my car I went back to his house, I asked him for his name, which was Henry Hill, and his number. I told him about the backstory about me that I and Will made up. In which he agreed.

Telling each other goodnight, we went to our respective rooms and fell asleep. I woke up from a nightmare but it was different this time, it still included that-my wolf but there were other wolves there. I had no control, I just attacked them all! I heard their whimpers, I felt their cores just go out.

I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't so I just scrolled through my phone trying to ignore what happened.
