(I promise this is one of the last really dark chapters though the next one migth be worse)

•••Sophie•••

"That was an absolutely missguided mess of a plan." Mori scolds Alex loudly.

Sophie understands them. She would also prefer if her brother at least communicated with people before he threw himself in danger.

However she knows Mori can be a bit too rational. It's their show of care. Sophie would never use the word tough love for what Mori is doing, however they express worry differently.

Sophie always had a deep appreciation of Mori. Even when they were kids.

She makes them a cup of tea. She knows Mori likes tea.

She adds a tiny bit of the red… liquid from their numerous bags Mori is allowed in the fridge

However Sophie would prefer it if the owner of the blood did not sit in the next room and listened to very loud music on his headphones, rocking back and forth while watching her brother.

Porter also called his friend, Viktor, who is very polite and also very awkward to have at home after doubling their workload. Well, Sophie would have to deal with it. At least they seem to like Alex because they refuse to let go of his left hand. Well, at least they are fine.

Porter seems to mumble something about being able to celebrate Emily's 23rd birthday soon.

"Wait, aren't you 21? Porter, you told me you started dating her at 14. So you dated a 16 year old?"

"For a short amount of time, she's from february and i was born in april. She also was 15."

"After I tried my very best to convince you two to finally get together. " comes from Mori. "They are both insanely oblivious."

Porter does not seem to care about Moris insult.

He seems even more absent, even more than usual. While Mori and Porter do not often seem present, that is even for him too much. He took his hat off and started to play with the brim.

Sophie decides to sit down. She doesn't have a recording appointment until a few weeks and already wrote most songs. They could technically tackle Kat tomorrow evening. Maybe going into the night. It's January so it will get cold. She should wear something warm.

Sophie isn't excited. At all. She is scared.
It's nothing new. She is used to fear. She decides to tune it out. She can always be scared later. She can't just show anyone her doubts. She can later bury herself into Moris chest and hide and cry. But until then she will not be scared.

Why is she scared anyways? She doesn't need to be scared. She isn't a child. Katherine can't really hurt a grown person unless they let her, right?

Sophie is hellbend on achieving the freedom she wanted since her childhood. It's the only thing she wants that she never had. And she will get it no matter what. No matter what sacrifices she needs. She will make it.

"We should go tomorrow night." She decides.

Porter looks absolutely disturbed. "Sophie, that is a heavily missguided plan. We can't just jump in there mentally! Both you and I know we are all terrified."

"Why would I be scared?"

"Why wouldn't you be? Alex is the best example of just how dangerous Katherine is if we aren't careful."

"He was a child. We are adults now. Adults aren't defenseless"

"Sophie, I know better than anyone else that just hitting 18 doesn't make you invincible."
