I say bye to Drea and Reggie as I spot mum's car, I know why she's early. She hates being late for the first day of anything, especially her broken daughters first therapy sesh. I get in the car and she kisses my cheek.

"How was it?"

"I didn't know I was that good at pretending, I should be an actress"
She laughs but I don't really find it funny, she glances at me and sees my mood doesn't match hers.
"You nervous? About therapy?"

"No. I just have to talk right?" I look down at my fingers. I didn't realize it before but I was nervous. Not 'shit my pants' nervous or 'mental breakdown' nervous, just nervous. I'm never low key nervous, mines always over the top, maybe that's why I didn't indetify my feeling as being nervous.

We start driving and I connect my ear pods to my phone and let shiloh dynasty "keep me safe" before we get there.
We leave the car and walk into the building. The secretary looks unphased as she stares at the desktop in front of her.

Is she watching a movie?

The sound of my mums perky heels and my sketchy crocs but mostly mums heels draws the secretarys attention. She looks up and with her jaw slightly ajar she stares. My mum has always been one to draw attention, with her blonde hair, blue eyes and a gorgeous body, you can't go wrong.

"We have an appointment with doctor Eden" and to top it off, her exotic french accent. The secretary finally rips her gaze off my mother and looks back at the desktop.

Hey!!! She's married and she's got me and Adrien to prove it.

I won't lie, my family is well..... pretty. My mum dragging the most attention, followed by my elder brother Adrien, next up me and finally my dad. Don't get me wrong, my dad is hot, his milk chocolate skin is to die for.

I say that with innocent intent

But we just seem to get more attention.

*Inwardly giggles*

Mum seems to be done and walks upstairs, I follow her behind and we get into a room, it's just how I expected it to be, cozy and intimate

is that like a mind trick to make me tell you my deepest and darkest secret?

But what I did not expect was the outrageously handsome man standing in front of my mum and I.

He stretches his arm out for a handshake and says "hey, I'm doctor Eden. You can call me Eden" with a light friendly smirk.

I hold no to his firm hand and stare into his welcoming emerald green eyes. "You must be Océane, did I get the pronunciation right?" He asks and let's out a deep chuckle.

"Yah, I am. You did"

"Okay, you can have a seat. Claire, if you'll excuse us?" He politely asks my mum to leave.

"So I just sit here and you interogate me?"

He smiles at me and begins "I'm not interogating you. This is a safe space okay, anything we discuss won't leave these four walls. I'm hear for you to talk to me, not me interogating you okay?"

I take a seat on the deep green couch while he takes his seat on the arm chair adjacent to mine.

"So do you recall what happened, have you ever narrated the story to anyone?"

I look down at my hand and pinch my inner elbow. I bite my lip and begin "I was on my way home late in the evening, I liked walking home around that time cause it was peaceful" I feel this lump in my throat and the tears form but I push past it and continue talking, trying to avoid eye contact.
