AS MUCH AS BREE HATED TO ADMIT IT, SHE WAS HAVING FUN. She had switched between dancing with Sarah and Wheezie and dancing with Kie all night, and there were only a couple of moments when she did not have a smile on her face.

JJ was walking through the crowd in nice clothes and a beat up face with a tray in his hands as he pretended to be one of the waiters so that he could be let into the party. He pushed through the crowd to where Bree was standing the porch of the house alongside a middle-aged couple.

He completely froze when he saw her, almost dropping the tray.

She looked absolutely gorgeous, but she hadn't noticed him staring at her yet. She was standing  with a drink in her hand, and she was laughing at a joke the man had told. When she threw her head back and turned it slightly, that was when she saw him. She said something to the people she was talking to before walking down the stares and toward him.

"Hey," she greeted as she got closer.

He snapped out of his trance at her voice, and his eyes raised to hers as his lips curved into a smile. He responded, "Hey."

"What are you doing here?" she questioned curiously since she hadn't even known that he had gotten out of jail, and she definitely had no idea how the hell he got past the security guard and into a party full of Kooks.

He leaned into her ear and whispered, "I'm on a mission, actually."

"What kind of mission?" she asked with a worried voice and furrowed eyebrows. The way he said it made it sound mischievous, and that did not seem like a good thing.

"Well, if you must know, I have to deliver this message to none other than Sarah Cameron," he explained before holding up a small, folded piece of paper. "This is top secret information."

She was still confused, but she nodded along. "Sounds like a very daunting task."

"It is," he confirmed with a nod before taking another step closer to her. "And I don't think my boss would be too happy if I got distracted by a pretty lady."

"Well, we wouldn't want that," she joked with a small smile.

With a shrug that said that he didn't really care, he quizzed with raised eyebrows, "Wanna dance?"
