JOHN B FINALLY TOLD THEM WHAT HAD BEEN GOING ON. He and his dad had been AWOL for the past couple of days, and needless to say, none of them were happy about it. The father and son duo had been looking for El Dorado, the Lost City of Gold, just like Singh had been. It was yet another adventure about gold. Only this time, Big John had convinced his son that his friends were not trustworthy enough.

After getting mad at John B about it once he told them that they had lost their only lead, Bree headed back to her tree that she had been using as her home base for her wandering. She had tucked a jacket and the other things she needed in a hole on the other side and prayed that no one would steal them. She was leaning up against the tree when someone greeted, "Hey."

"Oh, hi," she replied, trying to play off the fact that she had almost jumped out of her skin as she looked up at the boy that she had met the other day, the one that had poked her with a stick to make sure she was till alive. Leo, she remembered.

He wiped his hand on his jeans, and he seemed like he was scared that she was going to bite him or something. He explained, "Sorry, I've just noticed that you've been staying at that tree for a while, and I was wondering if you wanted to come in for a drink or something."

"I don't wanna impose," she responded almost immediately. She really did not want to be a burden on anyone, especially this random boy that she barely knew.

"No, it's totally fine. Come on," he urged, gesturing for her to follow him as he began walking away. They reached his house, which was a one-story fairly similar to JJ's, and they sat on the porch and sipped on ice-cold Diet Cokes. He asked, "How's life now that you're back?"

She thought about it for a second, wondering how much she wanted to unload on this random kid. But no one had asked her how she was doing, and it felt nice to know that someone cared, even if he was doing it to just be polite. "Pretty sucky, if I'm being honest. There's too much and not enough going on at the same time, if that makes sense."

"Right, you lived on an island for a month, and now, you're back being a regular teenager," he replied, trying to understand. All he really knew about her was what he had heard about her and her friends. It seemed like she had been through hell and back a couple of times.
