KIE WAS PRACTICING WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO SAY TO HER PARENTS. The Chateau had burned down, and his father was all that JOhn B had left. While they were waiting on the plane, she and Pope decided that it would be best to inform their families of what was happening, and Bree went with the Carrera girl for backup in case she needed it. However, so far, the explanations were not going too well.

"I mean, I'm practically an adult. I'll never ask for anything again. No, I cannot promise that. I'm gonna write an essay about my experiences with the Indigenous tribes in South America, and then I will use that to apply for college. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That dog's gonna hunt."

"Hey, Kiara. And you must be Gabrielle," a man greeted them, climbing out of his van that he parked across the street. The two girls looked at each other in confusion, quickly realizing that neither of them knew the man. They spun around and began walking up the stairs cautiously. He called after them, "Hey, come back. I'm not gonna hurt you. I just want to talk to you."

"Uh, no, thanks," Kie yelled back. "Stranger danger. Hey! Dad. Uh, Mom," she yelled banging on the door when it did not open. Their house was almost never locked, so that was very concerning. Bree kept her eye on the man approaching them, and another guy appeared behind him.

The door swung open, but another unfamiliar man was standing on the other side. He looked down at them, and it was clear that he was in on whatever was happening. "Look. This can go one of two ways."

"Kie, what's going on?" Bree asked because her friend was staring at the man's shirt that said 'Kitty Hawk', and the girl seemed to know what it meant. She was muttering 'no, no, no' over and over again under her breath.

Anna stepped out behind the man, and Bree finally realized what was happening. She had remembered Kiara saying something about corrective programs, and that must be what was going on. Shit. Mrs. Carrera looked at her daughter, "I'm sorry, honey. We're sending you away for a while. They say that Kitty Hawk's the best."

"Wait, what?" Kiara questioned, and she was panicking. Bree tried to step back, but she bumped into a man's chest. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her in place so that she couldn't run away. She was absolutely terrified by the thought.
