"Ah, it feels good to be out and about!" Arthur says while stretching his arms, a bright grin on his face. He had been back in Dicathen for a while at this point and spent most of his time with his family, not wanting to spend another moment away from them.

His time in Alacrya robbed him of many moments with his mom and sister, and he didn't want to miss another if he could help it. So, when they decided they wanted to go shopping, an activity he historically hated, he tagged along with a happy smile.

It was midday now, and the trio were walking through the heart of Xyrus. Arthur had come along without any real need or desire to shop for anything, but Alice and Ellie both insisted that he bought some clothes. Most of the wardrobe he had on him was Alacryan in style. This made him stick out in the streets of Dicathen, so going shopping was probably for the best.

"Hey, knife ear! Watch where you are going. Too busy thinking about making love to plants to see two feet ahead of you?" Arthur turned his head around to see a burly human glare down at an elf that looked equally pissed off at the fact the two collided with one another.

"Look who's talking, roly-poly. You probably were looking into the crowd for some tail or side piece to fuck so you can avoid your ugly wife at home. That's why you walked straight into me. Too bad that even if you somehow succeed at finding someone, your lady friend wouldn't be able to even find your pecker under those rolls of fat!" The elf snapped back.

"The fuck you say to me?" By this point, the two of them were neck and neck, mana flying threateningly around them as gusts of wind and sparks of fire filled the air.

Shrieks erupted from the crowd as people ran away from the duo that seemed to be getting ready to fight. Arthur got ready to break them up before anyone got hurt, but before he got the chance, a fleet of triunion guards appeared out of nowhere to detain the two of them.

After mana suppressing cuffs were placed on them, two groups of guards split off, one went to check if anyone in the vicinity needed healing, while the other group went around taking statements from witnesses. The efficiency at which this was done made Arthur suspect this was a common occurrence.

"I don't understand why the Council is needed anymore. The war is over and we are at peace. Why are all the races being forced to work with one another still during this time?"

"Those damn elves. They used to be our slaves, and now they are walking around like they own the place."

"I guess humans will always be vile and disgusting no matter what time or age we are in."

Arthur continued following Alice and Ellie as they walked through the crowd. Hearing the crowd, it seemed the only thing the people of both races agreed on is that they hate each other. Arthur shook his head and sighed.

Things were going so well on this front before he was taken to Alacrya. Everyone was in linked arms, working together to defeat the common enemy that was the invading Alacryan forces. But now that the enemy is gone, the divides between races started to show.

Humans and elves began fighting with one another again, the deep rooted issues from the previous human-elf wars causing cracks and issues to spout up to the surface. Not even the dwarves were free from conflict. Both the humans and elves were still mad at the dwarves for their betrayal of Dicathen.

Arthur sighed. He knew that Virion, Tess, and the rest of the council had their work cut out for them in terms of keeping the continent unified and at peace.

He was a lance, so he should be sitting through those long meetings, helping to figure how to handle these complex issues. However, he had been ignoring the calls back to duty the Council had given him. Both Virion and Tessia were playing defense for him, letting him have his well deserved rest. But he knew this was only a temporary situation, and he would be called back at some point in the future.
