"I thought Greenland was supposed to be known for having nice people..." Lindsey smarted off. "I feel like since I'm not from here, people assume I'm stupid. There's no way my wife could be MIA and they want me to just go home without her... I don't get it."

"Lindsey, I know you're stressed out, I am too, but it isn't going to make this any easier. We both know you're stressed about going home because you'll then have to tell the kids about what's going on," Karen commented.

"It's true but I shouldn't be going home empty handed..."

She sighed.

The reality was, they didn't know what they were supposed to do while people were searching for the singer, they were at a loss and explanations when it came to the family back in the states.

"I would agree, but none of this should have happened. Remember, they're not just looking for Stevie, they're also looking for the pilot. It's not going unnoticed or undone. We're just stressed."

He nodded his head, knowing his frustrations were coming from genuine fear.

What would I do without her? I was sixteen when I met her... We got married and went onto having four kids, most of them adults now, but they've never gone a day in their life without the help of their mother, the input of their mother and I sure as hell would not have been able to be a father alone. Stevie helped shaped the man I am today and if I lost her, I'd simply die... he anxiously thought.

Letting off a breath of air, he tried desperately to pull himself together---he knew no matter what, his wife would have wanted him to.

But what am I supposed to do? he then thought.

"And as for Greenland being known for having nice people, it's true and all but you have to remember, we're technically in Denmark and this is Viking Town..."

He leered, "Now you sound like Stevie..."

She smirked.

"Great, maybe she was abducted by vikings," he rolled his eyes and simply walked away from the woman.

Although she was trying to lighten the mood with her fun facts about the Greenlandic-Danish culture, he was in no mood so of course he had to become sarcastic.

---

"Viking Town, huh?" Stevie looked out the window, looking toward the ocean as she envisioned vikings sailing in on ships 3,000 years before.

As far from her life as she was, she did feel at home when it came to the mythology and history of places she had been to and although she didn't remember her travels, she held a lot of knowledge of things as though she had been there.

"Yep, after all, we're in Greenland, but this is a Danish colony. In nineteen-fifty-three, Denmark claimed Greenland so although we're an island, we're part of Europe," Brian explained.

"I'm aware..."

"Are you now?" he creased his brow.

"I may not remember my life but I'm not a complete idiot," she assured.

"No, I'm not saying you are, but again, not a lot of people know common things... It's astonishing, really, how intelligent you are."

"Was I like this before?" she wondered.

Suddenly, he froze and he realized he was about to slip by saying no.

The truth was, Samantha knew a lot but she didn't care for history, for mythology---she was more into science and not so much of what was real, not even religion or beliefs. It was a department they clashed often as parents but he couldn't tell Stevie that.
