Stevie flew up in the middle of one of her hypnosis sessions, bringing her hand to her head as she sat up fully to face her psychiatrist.
"How are you feeling, Stevie?" Freya handed her a glass of water.
She slowly but surely was coming back to her reality after having relived some memories and due to the crash having had the worst effect on her, it was causing some anxiety to course through her body.
In the last three months, the singer had been undergoing her hypnosis treatments and it was doing her well to recall some of the most major events in her her life such as getting married, having her children, joining Fleetwood Mac, being on tour almost her whole life, the loss of her best friend and her maternal instincts; her innate desire to love and protect every child she had ever met.
"It seems as though the last couple of years are what have been fuzzy. Despite not wanting to go through such things again, I feel that reliving what led to the crash would help."
She nodded her head gently.
"How do you feel?" she then wondered.
"As though I have been resurrected or something," she calmly replied as she took a sip of water, thinking back to the crash and waking up on the beach; it really had come back to her. "I feel like the part of me that was missing is back."
"And that's exactly what you wanted," the woman grinned.
"Exactly," she assured with a nod. "I feel so much better. I don't have to question stepping on stage... I don't have to question my relationship with my children..." she sighed. "It's weight lifting knowing I can go home and know exactly what's expected of me rather than what I was conditioned to think this last year..."
"Good. It seems the memories have triggered the sense of confidence you've always had. You know how in love you and your husband are, you know what great parents you are---the team you make, to say the least---in every aspect. Your musical career together and the way you deal with problems."
She nodded.
The woman grinned. "Despite your maternal instincts, how does the singer in you feel? Do you feel like three months from now, you'll be able to get on stage and perform in front of thousands of people?"
"I think so," she nodded. "I don't think it's anything a little rehearsal can't fix... I was reminded that'll have to undergo some vocal coaching to strengthen my voice. I haven't done anything to help my voice in the last year because I didn't know I was a singer," she kind of shrugged.
"Good," the psychiatrist took note of it.
"The last thing I'll ask after you is... the whole Brian thing. I would like to forget about him... I can feel the warmth of Lindsey from even thousands of miles away, but I don't want to feel torn or guilt for having left Brian. I just, I want to forget everything from this last year with the exception of the kids..." she claimed, clearing her throat as she took another drink of her beverage. "Is that possible?"
"So..." the woman trailed, closing her notebook in order to put her full focus on her. "The reason I've been kind of putting those things off is the fact that I can help you move forward. Let's say the relationship between you and Brian was marriage and you're now divorcing, right?"
The blonde nodded.
"I can move you forward and make you feel like you're ready to move on from that relationship, but I can't erase your memories. I can't make you forget Brian, I can't erase anything... But I can put you in a phase of having moved on in life, taking care of the kids as a divorced parent would."
