Chapter 6

McKenna isn't the only new kid. Last year there were 2 kids. A girl and a boy, twins from wherever that rich part of Mexico is. Juan (pronounced quan) and maddina. Juan the boy, was blonde and had a real nice body. He was loud and wild, but really funny. Maddina was also blonde, she was tall and thin and a bit quieter than her brother but she was super nice and very smart.

Anyways, of course me and Hallie swooped right in on the first day. She was campaigning for school treasurer and wanted everyone to know who she was. We approached maddina first. She was really nice, complemented my outfit, then she told Hallie her hair was really pretty. We started having lunch with them and slowly got to know them pretty well.

Juan was super sweet he was hilarious and seemed really into me. I've never been one of those girls who was really into dating, having crushes and relationships like this but somehow this was different. He had these big blue eyes that sparkled. And his blonde hair that flopped in his face.

Me and Hallie would talk after school. "He definitely likes you" she always said. Me, I wasn't sure what what I felt for him. But it was definitely something. Of course us being really close to Madi wouldn't ask her about it. That would be to awkward. However everyone could tell that we liked each other.

The schools mid year semi formal was coming up. Hallie said I should ask him. I being super shy full out refused. Until I realized the dance was in less than a week. That day he came up to me with a rose and asked me to the dance. I was almost crying it was so cute.

Hallie grabbed me and ran to the bathroom. "OMG OMG OMG OMG, I KNEW IT!!! AHHHHH!!! I CANT EVEN BREATHE RIGHT NOW" Hallie squealed "also I hate the washrooms... Let's go find Madi".

Madi said congrats and admitted that she knew the whole time. Anyways it was one of the best days of my life.

Madi is one of our best friends. The The three of us were so close always. Halley was the one in charge, I was the funny one you could always count on, and Madi? Well she was the super nice and very sporty one. She was on the softball team, hockey team, tennis team and of course her favourite soccer. Until the really bad accident happened.

Madi was playing defence in the city finals, the game that determined the champions and who moves on to states. A ball came running down the field it was kicked in the air and the ball knocked her down right in the head. She fell backwards on top of the goal post breaking a leg, arm and her tailbone on the way down. How this could of all happened from one kick I have no idea, it was almost 1 in a 1,000,000

Madi has a concussion, a really bad one. So bad she couldn't stay for last semester. We visit her often, after school or on the weekends. Juan missed the first couple days but he should be back by next Monday. I'm so excited. Since the dance we've been dating! It's so cute and we really like each other!!! Hallie says were her biggest ship, haha!!
