Chapter 12

Hallie POV

It was lunchtime and I went to go find Jaymi. She was already with Big talking about the newest Greek mythology book they had read.
"GUYS!!" I shouted over them. They kept talking. "Jaymi!? Big!? Are we going to hero burger or not?". "Sorry" Jaymi said "ya, let's go".

We walked the 2 blocks out of school down to the Burger place. The lineup wasn't too bad. Big got a Burger with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, mayo, hot sauce and chili flakes. Jaymi's had only cheese. I being the vegetarian that I am got a Veggie burger with lettuce and tomato only. Okay, and maybe I got fries on the side too but don't worry they were low sodium!

Once the food was ready we sat at the table across the room. Big ate his huge burger right away, while me and Jaymi talked about the episode of Pretty Little Liars the night before while slowly eating.

"You know what isn't fair?" Jaymi said. "No, if it's about how you don't have the same lunch period as Juan I don't wanna hear it" Big yelled. "I know I've mentioned it a lot it's just I haven't had time to see him recently and we don't have any classes together either." Jaymi sighed. "I want a Boyfriend" Hallie whined. "Me too" said Big. "Hey no! you had one this summer at camp, my turn first. I want one now." "Well said big, who are you thinking of?" Jaymi then laughed "Not ever obviously"! "Thanks for that reminder Jaymi" I rolled my eyes. "What about the rest of his crew? Michael, Jess, August, or Logan?" Jaymi said. I replied "Michaels a douche. August is too Stupid. Jess is too mean. Logan is too rich." "How can someone being too rich be a turnoff?" Said Big. I slumped down in my seat. I just want someone who's down to earth you know. Someone smart, kind, funny, makes me smile, holds my hand, talks to me every night. Someone perfect you know?". "Not everyone can be as perfect as me!" Said Big "but how about Adam."? Adam is the captain of the debate leauge and the basketball team. He plays sports, swims, and he is incredibly smart. "He's perfect for you!" Said Jaymi. "Aw thanks guys, ur great. Sorry for focusing so much on me. What were you saying before about your new book your reading?

After I separated with my friends I headed to my French class. My new favourite part of the day this semester. As I waited for it to start I texted my friends again

H: French! Can't wait.
B: yay fun business. NOT
H: I took that last semester it was fine

J: this gym uniform, it still makes me wanna barf
H: I totally feel you!!
B: the guy ones are the exact same
J: McKenna is in my class but she's not here
B: maybe she died!
H: naw she's probs just ditching I wouldn't be surprised *eye roll*
J: or she's late and just strolled in with Ever.
H: omg actually, what's happening
B: ugh all we talk about is her!!

J: they were talking, the teacher just yelled at her, annddd holy fuck
