CARAMEL
- Spilling Secrets And Coffee -"And then, he told me he loved me." Mia sipped from her straw, watching the way Octavia's jaw dropped before her face formed a pout an audible 'aw' leaving her lips as she brought a hand up to cover her mouth.
"Stop." The redhead shook her head after speaking before letting her 'in awe' expression return to that of a deadpan one. "You two make me sick." Via blankly stared at the girl, watching as Mia let out a laugh, spitting her drink out slightly and quickly whipping her head round to see if anybody had caught the awkward moment with their own eyes.
"Come on Vi." The brunette obnoxiously stuck her bottom lip out, tilting her head to the side in mock amusement. "There's gotta be someone out there you're interested in?" She encouraged wiggling around her eyebrows.
"Yeah." Octavia nodded, "myself." She raised her eyebrows in amusement taking a sip using the straw in her drink and watching her friends face fall as she leant her head back with a groan.
"I want you to have a boyfriend." Mia strung out leaning forward and grabbing ahold of both of Octavia's hands. "Then we can go on double dates. You, me, Ash and your man." The brunette raised an eyebrow, swinging their hands back and forth watching Via laugh a little and then retract her hands back to herself.
"Baby the closest I'm getting to a boyfriend is Michael." The redhead denied with a small eye roll, shifting from her seat as she scooted her way to the end. "I'm getting a brownie, you want anything?" She raised an eyebrow, her phone tightly held in her hand - screw cash, she would use Apple Pay.
"Blueberry muffin please." Mia grinned widely at the girl when reciting her request. She got the same thing everytime. And everytime, Octavia would pay for it. The girl in question let out a small laugh wondering why she'd even asked if she knew the answer she was gonna get.
Quickly turning on her heel, she began to make her way into the counter before she felt herself collide with another body, and a warmth slowly spreading across her chest.
"Oops." Their tone couldn't have been less sarcastic if they tried and unfortunately Octavia would recognise that voice anywhere because it was one she frequently walked in the other direction of.
"Calum." The redhead looked up through gritted teeth, her mind racing the second she saw him stood there with that obnoxious smirk on his face. He was alone, none of the boys with him - or else they would've snapped at him - and nobody he knew outside of the boys was there either.
"Sorry Via." Calum very slowly and very obviously let his eyes scan her from her head to her toe, the underlying smugness evident in his tone as he darted his tongue out to wet his lips. The pride inside him only grew when he saw the way Octavia screwed her eyes shut and took in a deep breath. Most likely to contain herself from blowing up on him.
"Don't fucking call me that." Octavia harshly pressed, taking a step closer to the boy in order not to draw attention to them arguing in the middle of the coffee shop. The girl opened her mouth to let out a couple of choice words but she thought better of it. Pulling herself together and very harshly pushing him out of the way with her shoulder as she resumed her walk up to the counter.
Calum stumbled. He stumbled so much he fell into the table next to him. The brunette let a curse fall from his lips in irritation at the girls actions before swiftly picking himself up, placing his now empty coffee cup on the empty table and beginning to make his way towards where she stood at the counter.
Via was already holding two plates and animatedly speaking to the cashier about the coffee stain on her jumper - how was she gonna tell Michael about his jumper? Calum began his approach and he was quick but not quick enough as Octavia had shoved passed him once more and returned to her seat with Mia before he could process it.
As soon as it clicked in his brain, the brunette was following after the girl. His eyes catching Mia's as she saw him headed for their booth - Octavia hadn't noticed as she sat down due to her back being towards him.
"You mind if I join you?" The boy didn't wait for an answer before he was pushing Octavia towards the wall and joining her on her side of the table. The two of them now facing Mia who bit her lip to hide her smile.
Of course Mia knew the issue with Octavia and Calum. Not only did she get it from the redheaded girl herself, Ashton would bring it up during their nightly facetime calls. The brunette girl was pretty sure she was the only one convinced that Octavia had forgiven Calum a long time ago and she was just holding onto that tension for fun.
Everyone could tell Calum got a kick out of pissing the girl off - Mia could tell it was because he liked the way all her attention would be on him in that moment as she tried to fight with him.
Everyone could tell it annoyed Octavia when Calum was in the same room as her - Mia could tell it was because she now had to watch what she was saying in-front of him because his opinion was far more different than that of the other lot she hung out with. In other words - Mia shipped it and she shipped it badly.
"If you don't walk away right fucking now I am dumping that entire coffee pot on your head." Without looking his way, Octavia grinded her teeth together, receiving a kick to the shin from the party sat across the table.
"Why? Upset I made your outfit look better by ruining it?" Calum rest his left arm flat on the table, propping his right up on his elbow and resting his chin in his hand - to any on looker it would seem as though he was gazing at her lovingly.
"Upset I can actually pull it off and your plan to embarrass me failed?" Octavia mimicked his movements, jutting out her bottom lip and letting the corner of her lips tug upwards when she noticed the way his fell.
"I think you're acting out because you know Luke realised he's too good for someone like you." The brown haired boy let his arm fall, leaning into the leather booth and sitting back, letting his posture fall from its prior position.
"And I think you've realised that if it came down to it, he would pick me over you." Octavia scrunched her nose up and drew her eyebrows in, letting a full smirk position itself on her face before she proceeded to climb over Calum's lap to help herself out of the booth.
"Brownies on me babe." She placed her hand on his jaw, giving him two firm pats to the cheek before rolling her eyes and walking away - leaving Mia and Calum alone at the table.
The brunette boy was speechless, his eyes meeting Mia's as she narrowed her gaze on him. "Admit it Hood." She began to pick up her things she had discarded from beside her. "You like the chase."
