Chapter 17

   We have been with Pervy sage for a few weeks now. Pervy sage taught us the summoning jutsu but all I have been able to do was summon a new born fox. Now its not like I'm behind, all Naruto can summon is a tadpole. "Ok now try again." Pervy sage said. I bit my thumb and slammed it on to the ground, there was a poof and baby fox sat there. I smiled, "Yes!!! This one's older than the other one." I cheered at my small progress. Naruto also cheered for his tadpole actually had legs. We high fived each other, while pervy sage sweat dropped. "Ok, today we are gonna start a new kind of training. One that will be very dangerous, are you ready?" Pervy sage looked at us seriously. I narrowed my eyes, "Yeah, but what's the big deal Perv? Why so serious?" Naruto grinned and cut in,"I don't care what it is, as long as it gets me stronger." I looked at him and smile.

'Always so excited about everything. You don't care if it's dangerous or not, thats what I love about you.' I thought to myself.

  Then I stopped and thought about what I said, 'W-wait love? What the hell Kira?!? He's your friend, in fact your best friend. You can't like him, let alone love him!' The thought alone made me blush. I turned away to hide it but unfortunately Pervy sage caught it. Then he gave a big grin and glanced at Naruto, grinning even wider. Naruto gave us both confused looks, "What's going one with you two." I turned back towards them and smiled. "Nothing now lets get on with our training, move along pervy sage. Show us what to do. " Pervy sage still had his stupid ass smug smile one. "Ok before do this training, we have to do a few things. What's your favorite place to eat?" He asked.

    Naruto and I both looked at each other then grinned back at Pervy sage, "Ichiraku's." We both said simultaneously.

Both Naruto and I ate at least ten bowls. Pervy sage tried to get away with out paying like he said he would but luckily I caught his ear pulling him back to the bar table. "Pay now, pervy sage. I hate liars." I said venomously low. His face went white and he sadly pulled the money out of his wallet placing it on the counter. "Good Pervy sage, good. Now let's continue on, what else do we have to do. " I said walking out. "Ok, do you guys have anyone you want to say goodbye too. Anyone you like or is real special to you?" Pervy sage asked.

Naruto thought for a moment, and I could have sworn he glanced at me.

'Don't be stupid... He cares for you like a friend and thats all you'll ever be to him. A friend, you only think you saw that cause you lo-...... Ok not finishing that thought' I contemplated with my self.

  Naruto was still thinking, "Hmmm... Like Sakura?" I scowled at the name that left his lips. Pervy sage quickly caught on and gave me a sad smile, I mean it's not like I don't like Sakura. She's one of my first female friends, its just the fact that he likes Sakura. "Kira what about you?" Pervy sage asked. I shook my head and crossed my arms, "No one." I simply replied. He frowned, "Are you sure, you might want to tell him before it's too late." I shook my head again, "Yeah I'm sure, he doesn't even like me anyways. What's the point of telling him, especially when he likes someone else." I never even noticed it but Naruto looked a little pissed, but being me I ignored it. My mood got even worse, that was when I thought about what I said.

'Dammit there is no use of denying it anymore. I like Naruto, maybe even love him. I haven't decided that yet, but I know I like him. What's the point anyway, it's not like he likes me back. He likes Sakura.' I thought bitterly, even though I just admitted to my own feelings.

We headed off to Sakura's house, while Naruto went off to do whatever. I stayed back with Pervy sage, "You should tell him, you might be surprised of you do tell him and what you get." Pervy sage stated. I snorted, "Yeah right, were just friends ok? Nothing else and never will be." I said. Pervy sage only sighed, but before he could say anything else Naruto came back with a huge bump on his head. "You done? Good lets go." I said and walked off, then I stopped and looked back at them. "Come on get your asses moving. I want to get this over with." I hurried them. They both started heading toward me fast, "What's wrong with her?" Naruto asked. Pervy sage sighed and shook his head, "It's something called love, I highly doubt she understands it yet." The Perv whispered back. I crossed my arms again and kept walking forward, my day just gets more worse and more worse.

"Okay guys, are you sure your ready? " he asked. We both gave determined nods, "Ok here we go." And then he flicked us on the forehead, knocking us so far back we fell off the edge of a cliff. Instantly I was screaming like I had a nightmare, which the last one I had was a bit if time ago. Soon my throat started to hurt so I stopped, 'Think Kira!!! Think dammit!!!' I have to summon something, and quick or I will die, before I could bite my thumb. I noticed how close I was to the wall, but before I could push away I got cut.

Really badly, from my wrist all the way above my elbow. I cried out in pain, grabbing my arm instinctively. The blood was gushing out pretty fast, faster than I have ever seen. Being the best assassin in the old world helps, cause you don't get cut this bad or deep. Well at least I don't need to bite my thumb, I used the blood from my hand and pushed my hand below me. Which is pretty damn hard when your falling at like 60 miles and hour. "Summoning jutsu!!!" I screamed and closed my eyes. I landed on something furry but hard, as I opened my eyes I saw a really big black and red fox..... and I was sitting on his nose. "Who summoned me?" The fox boomed loudly. "I did!" I yelled and stood up. The fox laughed, "Like a little weak squirt like you could summon me." I growled, 'Did he just call me weak, I think he did. Well you gotta another thing coming for you and you wont be happy.... my anger issues.' I thought to him even if he couldn't here me. I stomped my foot on his nose gaining his attention, "Listen here, and listen good. You better damn believe it when I say I summoned you. I didn't just go through all this bullshit to get called a weakling, I am fucking bleeding. Bleeding, now you better get your damn fox ass up there before I kick you in the eye. " I demanded of him, I'm surprised he didn't get shocked by now. Maybe I'm gaining control of my power... On second thought no, I think this is a one time thing since I'm literally bleeding to death. The fox looked at me curiously, "You act so much like her.... Are you by any chance a Kuro-Bara? And the daughter of Miyako Kuro-Bara?" I looked at him suspiciously, "Yes I am, if she was the head clan members wife." The fox gave a tiny nod, making me shift a bit. I nodded, "Then yes I am, how do you know her?" The fox smiled, "She made a contract with us. How is she by the way, she hasn't summoned us since like 10 years ago." I kept my straight face, "She's dead, she died when I was two. I never met her." My voice cracked at the end and he gave me sad look. "Never mind that, I really need to get to the hospital. I'm still bleeding. " the right side of my clothes were soaked in blood by now. He nodded and jumped to the top, Naruto was already up there arguing with his frog summoning. "Have you signed a contract with us yet?" The fox asked as I slid to the floor. I shook my head, "No, pervy sage didn't have the contract when I found out what I could summon." The fox nodded and there was a puff of smoke, laying in front of me.

I signed my name in Japanese, and since my had was already caked in blood, I stamped my whole hand print. "Thats kind of sloppy writing." The fox said as I handed him the scroll. I rolled my eyes, "Well my arm is kind of useless right now so I can't write my name properly without my right hand." The fox chuckled, "Just like your mother, really easy to irritate or anger. Anyways my name is Arura. The head chief of the fox summonings." He bowed his head to me. I nodded dizzily, "Thats greeaatte Arura," I slurred. I felt really light headed, "I feel really light headed, am I ok?" I asked then fell to the ground. Passing out from blood loss.

BANG!!!

I shot up from where I was, the sudden loud noise waking me up. I looked around, and saw I was in a hospital. There were shouts and screams coming from outside, I stood up and walked over to the window. Looking out side it was dark, and there were sand and leaf shinobi fighting.

How long was I out?!?

  I looked over at the calendar, I missed the last chunnin test!!! Damn.... But it looks like the test has been stopped from them fighting. That was when I felt it, that immense chakra. The unique chakra of a demon, the one tailed....

Shukaku.
