they rarely have quiet days like this. heeseung thinks this to himself.

it's a free day. no practice and no schedule. he looks around, almost in a bored fashion, at the boys littered around the living room.

jay and sunghoon are having a conversation about a movie they want to see. jungwon is passed out on the couch and jake is sneakily taking pictures of him. ni-ki is occupied with a game on his phone. sunoo is nowhere to be seen so he assumes he's watching a drama elsewhere in the house.

for some reason, as time goes by, he grows even more bored. suddenly, the games he normally would spend hours playing now seem uninteresting to him. so he settles on looking through his gallery to pass the time.

maybe he scrolls too far, or maybe it's intentional, but he comes across a picture from a long time ago. a picture of his high school graduation.

two smiling faces stare back at him but he can't bring himself to smile at what should be a happy memory.

"heeseung" jay calls and breaks him away from his thoughts before they run deep.

"mm?"

"do you want to go see a movie with us?"

he doesn't know why but he finds himself giving in to their request. he puts his phone away so he doesn't have to stare at the picture any longer.

"what movie?" he asks, trying to distract himself.

"we're still deciding. help us choose" sunghoon speaks, passing the ipad to heeseung so he can see the options for himself.

the movie they finally decide on is an action movie that's trending at the moment.

soon enough, they're at a cinema with baseball caps and masks to avoid recognition. it is not much crowded either because it is a school night.

they watch it mostly in silence, only offering a few comments here and there. but heeseung can't focus on the movie, which he thinks is oddly reminiscent of some other movie he saw some time ago. he can't seem to shake the image of this picture he saw off his mind.

in the end, he excuses himself to go get some fresh air outside.

"i'll be right there!" the girl calls to her friends who are down the hall as she makes her way to the restroom.
