hana hasn't been to school in two weeks. it's understandable but heeseung can't help being worried because no one's heard from her yet.

the news of what happened that friday has spread like wildfire around their class and year too. it seems everyone is affected in one way or the other by her absence. he didn't even know she had that many friends.

their classmates all plan to visit her today but heeseung doesn't think he can make it because he has some training sessions.

finally, when it's early afternoon and they're done with two classes, the instructor tells him he can go.

"what's going on?" his mother asks him when he comes back home in a rush to take a shower and change.

"i'm going to hana's!" he yells from his room upstairs.

he's mentioned her a few times here and there and his mother has a fair amount of knowledge about the situation so she doesn't ask too many questions.

when he's done and ready to go, she stops him by the door.

"when you get there, try to be reassuring okay? the poor girl must feel so sad" she laments.

she places an envelope in his hands.

"give this to her mother, okay?"

he nods in understanding and places the gift carefully in the pocket of his jacket.

after saying his goodbyes, he leaves for her house. it's a bit farther than he anticipated and he gets there later than he would like. he didn't expect her to live so far from school.

eventually, he gets there and he starts to feel a bit nervous.

after taking a few deep breaths, however, he gathers enough courage to ring the doorbell.

it doesn't take long before the door is opened and he's face to face with her.

"heeseung?"

she's surprised to see him there.

wasn't he just here with the others?

she vaguely remembers seeing him earlier that day when they had come flooding in. or maybe she didn't? she's not sure because there had been so many people there.
