seoul, south korea'then...how else should i look at you?'
hana's face burns red at the memory of the other night. she'd panicked then and had said something that she honestly can't remember now. all she can recall is that he laughed after that so hopefully, it wasn't something embarrassing.
her mind also wanders to how he'd draped his coat over her and held her heels until she got home.
she didn't get it.
when did heeseung get this sweet and considerate? she thinks that maybe if he keeps acting like this, she might just-
she shakes her head to rid herself of the thoughts and lightly slaps her cheeks.
"losing it. i'm definitely losing it" she mutters in disbelief.
in that moment, jangmi jumps into her lap, demanding her daily dose of attention.
"i'm thinking too much, right?" she asks the feline as if she can respond.
"i am" she answers herself. "your dad was just-"
hana catches herself mid-sentence. jangmi's dad? if he was jangmi's dad and she was jangmi's mum, that would imply that she and heeseung...
"no!" she bursts out and the cat leaps off her with a hiss of annoyance at being disturbed.
"i need to touch some grass," she tells herself. she couldn't possibly be this deluded.
she brings her attention back to her open laptop, clicking on the 'mail' icon on the left side of the screen.
the three new emails in her inbox catch her eye.
two are just promotional emails for naver but the third one however is a reply from a studio she had sent her portfolio earlier the previous week.
she opens it up and hastily reads through it to get the gist of it. her eyes widen when she reads the '...would like to welcome you on our team...'
"no way!" she yells, standing to her feet.
"what's got you yelling so much?" a tired jihye asks, trudging into the living room.
"i got it!" hana yells once more, nearly making the poor girl go deaf.
she mumbles an apology and stops bouncing around.
