Vera stood in front of her father, trying to come across ten times more confident than she actually was.

"Ahh I was wondering where you went, I was enjoying your magnificent display of dark magic in the courtyard.... So, have you come to finally surrender?" Voldemort asked in amusement, her silence was enough of an answer. "Potter's become something of a pet to you, where is he if not following you like a lost mutt?"

"No need to disrespect your son-in-law like that." Vera knew exactly what to say to hit a nerve, she seemed to do just that as his snake-like face lost any hint of amusement.

The thought of Harry being intertwined with his bloodline was revolting enough.

"Nice wand..." Realisation and remembrance flashed behind Vera's eyes as she spotted the elder wand in his hands. "But it doesn't bend to your will, does it?"

Voldemort was not expecting her words, he seemed angered by her statement which meant Vera was right.

"You will find that fear has no place in my heart." Voldemort sneered, noticing the pleased look on his daughter's face.

"Perhaps," Vera watched out of the corner of her eye as Pansy made her way around them, unnoticed. "but I can see it in your eyes."

She watched as her father's hideous face became even more so as he furrowed his eyebrows in anger.

"Most fathers don't enact war against their daughters," Vera noted. "But then again, you were never much of a father, to begin with."

"That's the problem, I needed an heir by my side, you wanted a father."

"Well, I guess we're both disappointed then."

"You still have a chance to redeem yourself, after Potter dies, your mistakes will be washed away by me and I will allow you to become my right hand. Your previous transgressions will be that you were a non-active member of the order and did not fight." Voldemort announced as Pansy tried to sneak past Nagini that lay coiled up, by her father's side.

"I would rather die." Vera spat.

At that moment, Pansy lunged on top of Nagini with the Basilisk fang in attempt to stab the snake. Unfortunately, Nagini used her tail to smack Pansy into the ground and coil around her.
