Escape? Think again

Amy's POV
Alarms blared in my ears. I headed towards the doors as that's the only way out and shoved them wide open. A cold air worked its way down my spine. With a quick glance at my surroundings, I found I was standing in the centre of what appeared to be the lab. I'm confused as to why no one is here but I'm not dwelling on this, I'm out of here. I headed straight and came to an exit. This is way too easy, I shouldn't be able to escape by now. Well not this easily. I shook my head and pushed the door. Locked. Trust it to be locked but a little force is all that's needed. I slammed my shoulder into the door lots of times but I only seemed to get a bruised shoulder. I shook off my shoulder and ran back to where I was and headed down a random corridor. I noticed many doors along the way but didn't stop winding only wanted to get out of here. "Amy?!" I swirled on the spot but came to face nothing. I'm just imagining things, no one knows where I am. "Amy?! Where are you?!" Okay, I'm either going insane or there is an actual voice calling out to me. I walked back slightly but I didn't see anything. Oh, I really am going crazy. I spun back around and headed down the corridor again. There was a red wooden door at the other end with a glowing fire escape plack about it. I placed my hand on the door handle and was even more stunned when it opened with ease. I was expecting to have to kick it down but no. I'm so confused. Oh well, I'm getting out of here. I burst through the door into the cooling air. It was humid but there was a cool breeze which was relaxing. There was a crash behind me, making me jump forwards almost falling over. I didn't have a clue to where I was but anywhere away from here, the better. I began to run forward but something clasped my wrist and yanked me back. I suppressed a scream and turned to punch whoever was holding me back. However I was caught in surprise when I turned and saw sonic.
"What are you doing here?" I exclaimed and hugged him. I hadn't seen him in a long time and I'm surprised that he's even here.
"I came to save you but I think you saved yourself" he said happily. He came for me? What about the others? What happened to them?
"You came for me? Alone?" He nodded and hugged me again.
"I didn't know where the guys were but I knew you were missing as I heard the distress signal. I'm quite surprised that eggMan is still alive. I'm so glad your okay. " his smile was contagious and made me smile a even bigger one at him.
"Shall we go? I don't think anything is there but I'd rather get out of here" he nodded and grabbed my hand, pulling me in some direction. I think he knew where we were and let him drag me to wherever he was going. There was alot of trees so I'm assuming that Eggmans place is isolated from the rest of the area surrounding here. It's so peaceful here. I'm so glad I'm out of whatever eggman was doing or planning. I can tell it wouldn't have ended well.
Spoke to soon. BANG!! BANG!!

"AMY!! IM COMING FOR YOU! COME BACK NOW AND NO ONE WILL GET HURT. WE ONLY WANT YOU AMY!!"

I gulped and turned to look at sonic. He had the same emotion I had swimming in his eyes. Fear mixed with worry. For me? For him? For the guys? I have no clue. I knew me having a happy life was too much to ask for when it came to being a princess. Ive always had some kind of drama ruining the small moments that I have. I sighed and slowly turned around. I knew I had to go back or all of my effort would be for nothing. Once I started fighting for people, I can't stop now. I stepped forward but a hand shot out for mine.
"You don't have to go. We can figure something out. Once we get back, we can talk to everyone and decide from there." I shook my head and sighed.
"I can't do that. Ive heard that so much before but I'm going to face this and hopefully we will win. I need to face my battles head on like ive always done. Right now, I need to fight this battle on my own as I can't fight knowing you could be hurt too. Just make sure that no matter what, you guys look after those who are innocent in all this. Fight for what is right, as the team I know you guys are. That is one of the best strengths you all have is each other" Sonic looked practically heart breaken. I hated making people feel that way but I know I need to. I shook off his hand and slowly headed back to the base. I could see in his eyes before I turned away that he was trying to assess how he could help but I knew he was stuck. He needed to go back and talk to the guys and unfortunately that took time that I didn't have. 

I could see the door I left through now being guarded by robots. As I got closer, I saw eggman waiting with a sinister smile on his face. "Sooo little miss has decided to show up? I thought you got cold feet and left. I'm sure you figured out what I'd do if you had left. I'd find a way to bring you back here. I knew you were going to escape so I though why not mess with you a bit." His laugh following annoyed me but I didn't give him the satisfaction of seeing that.

"I know you were going to bring others into this and I won't let you. I'm facing you straight on and I'm not letting you bring anyone else into this. This is between us now, so fight me." Eggman stroked the side of his face in thought. After a minute, he stopped.
"You have yourself a deal"
