Amy's awakening

Shadows POV

I woke up some time later and found that Amy was still asleep. I smiled before slowly getting up moving her out if my arms and pulling the covers over her. I walked down the stairs and saw the guys. Tails looked up at me and said "how is she?" I looked at sonic and then tails. They both looked tired "she's okay now and is still sleeping. I'm going to stay home and make sure that she's okay" the guys nodded. Sonic looked at me and said "I'll photo copy my notes and tell the teacher that Amy is now stable. Will she be back tomorrow?" I shrugged and said "I will be but I'm not sure if she will be strong enough but I have a good feeling that she'll be fine by tomorrow. After the 'fight' was anyone still shocked throughout the day?" Sonic shook his head. There was a car horn blared outside, tails looked out the window and said 'that's our ride, have fun shadow, well not too much fun" I blushed and face palmed. They just laughed, grabbed their bags and walked out the door. I walked back into my room where any was.

I looked down at Amy, thoughts echoing around my head. The obvious thoughts: "who is she? I mean I know she's called Amy but what's her past and her life like?, I hope she's okay. I sat down beside her and felt her head. I think she's going to be fine. Her injuries are slowly healing, even the one across her stomach, that was the one I was worried about. I've never really looked at another girl since Maria died In front of me, it was hard moving on knowing she's never coming back. It breaks my heart thinking that. She was my only family before I met the guys. I used to hate sonic but I think changing my life to the one of acting instead of fighting had changed my ways and helped my view on everything. When I was a fighter, I could only witness the evil that people do but now, Being an actor, not only do I get to see happy faces, I get to make them happy. I love making people feel happy but I'm not going to say that in front of anyone, they'll just think I've gone softer than I already have. I gotta admit, being a fighter in my previous days, is great for defence. No one remembers the freedom fighters anymore, we're never called.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a moan from beside me. Amy was moving slightly in bed before her eyes slowly fluttered open. Her beautiful jade green eyes moved around the room before staring into mine. Her checks had gone to a deep red. I moved closer to her so I was hovering above her. "Amy are you okay?" She just stared into my eyes not responding. I raised an eyebrow at her and felt her forehead. She doesn't have a temperature. I leant over her to look closer at her face, I was still puzzled to why she wasn't responding. "Amy? Can you hear me?" Her eyes flickered as her checks went a deeper red. I then realised how close we were. I put my hands either side of her head pushing into the matrice. I didn't know what was happening until my lips met hers. She was surprised before she kissed back. I pulled away and slowly opened my eyes and stared into hers. We both blushed. I moved back away and gulped as I realised she was still recovering. "How are you feeling?" She smiled before slowly sitting up. "I feel much better bit would definately like some water, please" I nodded before reaching over to the side unit, handing Amy the glass of water that had been placed there. She hadn't stopped staring at me and I wasn't really sure what she was thinking. "I'm sorry about the kiss, I ...uh... It felt right? I don't normally just kiss people I have only just met." I didn't get an ackolwedgment from that so I panicked  "I am very sorry for that, I won't do that again" I said as I rubbed the back of my neck. She smiled finally and said "It's okay, I don't usually do that either, not the usual way I meet people" She said with a slight laugh at the end.  I followed on, " I would however like to get to know you better and take you places that I enjoy." She smiled and said "you mean, like a date? like be your girlfriend? " I could feel my cheeks warm and I swallowed hard. "Yeah, I guess. I don't want to rush into anything but I would like to take you out places and understand who you are as a individual" She was still smiling, seemingly enjoying watching me squirm. She nodded and tapped a finger to her chin. "I like the sound of that. I haven't been asked like that before so I agree. However first, I would very much like to know your name first before anything else". I finally felt at ease and smiled ."Sorry, it's Shadow the hedgehog" she thought for a moment before a wave of recognition passed over her face "wait THE Shadow the hedgehog, as in the ultimate life form who is now an actor but used to be a freedom fighter? " I was shocked that she had heard of me before. "Well since I know about you, it's only fair that I tell you but you have to promise me one thing..... You can't tell anyone" I nodded and said "cross my heart, hope to die" she smiled and said"...."
