Felix jolted awake to loud yelling. He immediately scanned the room for the cause of the shouting. His eyes landed on Fera, who's eyes were wide open. "Your head! What are those?! Are you injured!? I'm gonna call the vet!"

Felix sat there stunned, before realizing he still had his ears, and tail out. Fera moved to run out of the room, but before he could go anywhere he was tackled to the ground by Felix, who still had enhanced strength due to being half shifted.

Felix crawled off of him, and stood anxiously near his side as he got up. Felix was already regretting his actions, and started shaking, worried about the consequences. "These are my ears." He muttered under his breath, looking at the floor. His tail curled around his waist, and he held it to his chest, like a safety blanket.

Fera moved to get up, and Felix tensed waiting for the inevitable strike he'd receive. He waited, but it didn't come. Ever so slowly he looked up at Fera, and saw that the alien still looked shocked, but there was no anger in his features.

Felix jumped again when Fera spoke, "What are you?"

"What do you mean?" Felix's lungs felt tight, and getting the words out was tough.

"I've never seen a human with ears like these, and they weren't there yesterday, not to mention the thing you're holding to your chest."

"Oh, I- I'm a... a shifter." He was practically whispering, but he was terrified. He'd always been told he'd die if anyone knew, and now a 12 foot tall alien knew.

"What is a shifter?"

The question caught Felix off guard, he never thought he'd make it past telling anyone he was a shifter, let alone explain what is was. He didn't  even know how to explain it. He realized it was best to rip the band-aid off, and just show the alien. He was probably going to kill him anyways.

"Could you sit on the bed please?" Fera moved to sit on the bed, and Felix stepped back a bit. His bones snapped out of place, and reformed in seconds. His shift came to around the aliens upper thigh, but Felix felt incredibly small.

Fera had almost fallen of the bed with shock, but the alien recovered quickly, and scanned Felix's large cat-like form. They made eye contact, and Felix quickly looked away, lowering to shuffle towards Fera's feet. He rubbed his head against the alien's calf, causing it to jump, which in turn, made Felix flinch, and close his eyes tightly. He was still waiting for the alien to lash out, but the soft touch to his head startled him.

Fera recovered from his initial shock seeing how scared Felix was, and reached to to stroke his head. His mind was reeling with this new information, but he just couldn't leave Felix to stay cowering in fear.  He ran his fingers through the fur, surprised by how soft it was. His hand jerked back when he felt Felix start vibrating, but he slowly moved it back, feeling the warm rumbling sensation Felix was making.

He had definitely been shocked at first, but now he was excited. Not only did he have the perfect little human, his human could turn into this giant cat-like creature, but still chose to seek his comfort. He was so gonna brag about this.

He felt Felix move away, and watched his form break and grow back into the little human.

"I'm sorry." Felix barely got the words out. He was so happy to have someone who seemed to care about him, even if it was fake, but he had ruined it. He felt something wet hit his hand, and realized he was crying. He tried not to cry, always being told it was a sign of weakness, but he was just so exhausted and scared that he couldn't hold the tears in any longer.

His tears seemed to shock Fera, and before he knew it he was cradled in the aliens arms. "It's alright, you've done nothing wrong. You're ok."  Fera crooned from above his head.

He was pulled tight against Fera's chest, and he buried his head into the aliens neck, sobbing harder. No one had ever told him those words before, and even if Fera was an alien, and he'd been taken from his home, he couldn't find himself wanting to go back. He'd never felt truly loved there, but FERA's words didn't feel hollow like those of the people who we're supposed to love him.

Felix didn't care if he'd only known the alien for a short while, he didn't want to leave him. "Can I stay with you? Please?"

"Oh little one, there's no escaping now, you're mine."

Fera hugged him tighter, and made more crooning noises. They moved to sit on the couch, and Felix felt like he was melting into FERA's hold. All the stress and exhaustion, that had built up over the years, had left him, and he closed his eyes, still resting his head against the crook of the alien's neck. He felt sleep tugging at him, and he fully gave in. Relaxing further into the alien's chest, before he was out.
