Dazais pov

I marched my way to the throne room with rage filling my heart.

Kunikida told me about mori talking to him about killing me because i apparently won't be a good king. He then showed me what the man who killed the little girl had in his pocket.

Kill prince osamu any way possible. Even if others are at risk. Do this or you will never see your family again.

I knew the handwriting well and could confirm it was my uncle that wrote it.

"Ok what the hell mori"! I yelled as I pushed open the heavy doors leading to the throne room to see myself face to face with my uncle.

"Oh osamu how was you-"

"Don't you dare say my name". I glared daggers at him. I saw a sick grin pass over his face.

"I know what you've been doing. You want me dead right? Why is that"? I approached him wearing my own sick grin. "Is it because your scared with the war happing in going to use it to my advantage to take back the kingdom that was originally mine".

"Why would I be scared of that. It's not like you could even earn the trust if 'your' kingdom after all".

I stood in front of him glaring at his sitting form.

"You killed innocent people just because you want me dead. Why don't you do the deed yourself . Or are you to scared you'd lose"?

Mori stood up to be face to face with me . "What are you suggesting dazai"?

"A duel for the kingdom ".

Moris eyes widen but he shakes his head with a smile. "You are so clueless".

"What".

"It takes more then that to just be king. You need the rest of the kingdom to support you and believe you are the best ruler for them. And I'm sorry to say it nephew but absolutely no one in in kingdom thinks you would be a descent king".

Mori laughed as I scoffed and backed away from him.

"This might have been originally your family's kingdom but that say's absolutely nothing about you. You have proven to be lazy and apathetic. Who would want that to be there leader".

"I can change! I can prove that I can be a good leader! I just need time"! I yelled and Mori shook his head.

"I'll give you a single week. That will also be around the time Chuuya leaves . After the week we will hold a vote. If I win you will be executed for threatening the king ".

"And if I win you will leave this kingdom and never return ".

Mori nodded and held out his hand for me to take. I did so and we shook hands sealing our deal.

As I walked back to the room kunikida and I share I kept running through my brain ideas on how to earn the kingdoms trust and support.

"What was father like when he ruled"? I asked out loud hoping for some form of an answer. I decided to take a quick detour to the hall of portraits.

I looked around the room trying to see if there where any pictures of either my mother or father other then the one I was in.

I searched fir around ten minutes to only end up back by the picture I was in. "I could have sworn there were other pictures of them" I mumbled and looked at the picture infront of me.

I saw my mother sitting on a wooden chair with me and my father standing next to her. My father had light eyes and light hair but the texture was the same as mine. I looked far more like my mother then I did my father but that never bothered me before.
