Kunikidas pov.

Osamu hadn't come back for over an hour so I went on a look for him. The guards where no help though. They kept fallowing me and arguing who was at fault for losing him.

I listened to there annoying bickering as I looked around the castle in all the spots he shown me but I couldn't find him.

"He might have gone to town". I mumbled and started my walk there but was caught by Mori.

"Oh kunikida do you mind if I have a word with you". He smiled at me but I had a bad feeling.

"I'm kinda looking for osamu at the moment can it wait"?

"He went into the town after I spoke to him so he's fine". He then waved the guards away and walked with me.

"So about my request form earlier-".

"My answer is no ". I cut him off with my harsh answer but he just chuckled.

"I figured that would be your response. So I took matters into my own hands".

My eyes widen as I step away from him. "What did you do"?

"There are several assassins assigned around the village and to be honest I would be surprised if he is still alive now". Mori started to laugh.

I ran out of the room hearing him call "it's pointless to try. You'll just get yourself hurt in the end"!

I didn't care. I had to see if osamu is ok.

Dazais pov

Walking in the town calmed me down. Until I saw Chuuya leaving his sisters house. He for once wasn't wearing any armor just everyday clothes.

"Ok Ane San I'll be be back soon. What the hell are you doing here"!

Chuuya looked slightly embarrassed to see me but I just smiled at him. "Hey chibi".

"Oh is that dazai I hear" I heard a voice say and soon I saw kouyou at the door and she smiled at me. "Hello dear. Would you like to come inside"?

I agreed and came inside with Chuuya and kouyou. Chuuya and I sat at the table that was in the middle of the kitchen while kouyou got tea for us.

"So what brings you over mackerel "? Chuuya asked as kouyou put the tea in front of us and sighed.

"Your still calling him that nickname "?

"Yea if I didn't it would be weird". Chuuya looked at me and I nodded .

"We'll alright then" kouyou sat down and smiled at me. "So what brings you over dazai"?

"Just getting away from the castle. After the incident with the maid Mori has guards fallowing me everywhere. I was lucky to escape without losing my mind tho I had to leave kunikida behind".

Chuuya tilted his head with a frown. "But wouldn't it be safer to have the guards with you"?

"I mean it would but they are complete strangers and they are up my butt. Kunikida and I are trying to joke around and they come barging in like a hoard of elephants ".

Kouyou shook her head. "I understand that you are upset but you should also try to talk it over with the king. I'm sure he'll listen if you tell him your just uncomfortable with strangers watching you since they might also be hidden enemy's trying to get your head".

I nodded then remembered. "Hey slug before you left the house you said you would be back soon. Where were you going"?

"Oh I was going ti go shopping for Ane San . You wanna come with"?

I nodded and both Chuuya and I finished our tea and thanked kouyou before leaving.

Chuuya and I stuck close while we walked to the store and after we got the items kouyou asked for we made our way back to there house. But we where stopped by screaming.

Chuuya and I both ran in the direction the screaming was coming from to see the little flower girl being dragged into an ally .

"Come on"! I grabbed Chuuyas hand and we chased after the girl.

We saw a large man holding her with a sword to her neck making Chuuya and I stop in our tracks.

"Don't move or the girls blood will paint the streets".

I saw Chuuya point to his leg letting me know he had a dagger under his pant leg.

"Listen what Evers going on I'm sure you ca-"

"Shut up prince"!

I shut my mouth. I saw the girl crying and trying to hit or kick the man behind her.

We where in a tough situation not knowing what to do then I head a yell.

"Osamu"!

I turned around and the man looked up to see kunikida as well that was when Chuuya jumped at him.

It happened so fast Chuuya leaping at the man, dagger in hand then a scream and blood.

My eyes widden as I saw the little girl drop to the ground and the man soon fallow.

I ran over and pulled the girl into my arms as kunikida ran over to me looking at the girl who was growing colder in my arms by the second.

"P-prince". I heard a whisper. I shushed the little girl as tears built in my eyes. I watched her die in my arms.

Chuuya looked like he was a bout to hug me but kunikida got to me first pulling me to his chest. Chuuya took the girl into his arms and looked at kunikida.

"I'm going to take her home now. Her parents need to know what happened". Kunikida nodded as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Also I found this in the man's pocket". Chuuya handed it to kunikida and kunikidas eyes widen and his grip on me tightens.

"What is it" I look to try to see what the paper said but kunikida didn't let me. Just hugged me tightly. Chuuya left and kunikida and I started going home.

I could see kunikida wanted to cry as well but kept himself from doing so.

" Doppo I've decided ".

He looked at me and nodded for me to continue.

"I'm going to take back my kingdom and be the best ruler I can possibly be. Just like my father was".

Kunikida stopped walking. I turned to ask him what was wrong but saw the tears he was holding back start to fall.

"Doppo"?

"Osamu there is something I need to tell you".

I looked at him confused but urged him to continue .

"It's about Mori".
