Chapter 31-1 Will kill Your entire Family If Anything
Happens To Her (2)

Mu Jungkook looked up and downed the nice wine in his glass. A look of unrestrained crossed his usually expressionless face. "Don't we just all live for satisfaction? Seeing her happy gives me satisfaction. So what do you think?"

Having said that, he looked over in the direction
where Xu Lisa was eating earlier but didn't see her.

His sharp eyes were on alert immediately. Putting
down his glass, his tone turned cold. "Where is Xu Lisa?"

"I haven't seen her since the cake-cutting." Bai Jimin could sense the unusual air coming from Mu Jungkook.

This buddy of his had an unusually difficult past. He
might seem distant toward most things in life. But when it came to those that he cared about, they could never be out of his sight, or else – he could turn into the devil himself instantly.

Bai Jimin waved for the bodyguards and said to
him lightly, "Don't worry. She can't be far."

Mu Jungkook scanned over the entire place. Finally, he see a slightly chubby man.

The man met his eyes and quickly darted out of the
door.

"Lend me a couple of your men." With a vicious look, Mu Jungkook walked through the crowd, following the man.

Outside, Xu Lisa and Shen Mingyu took a stroll as they talked about the script. They came upon a secluded area unwillingly.

Suddenly, Xu Lisa felt enveloped in heat - her
magic to keep herself cool had stopped working.

The next second, she could hear soft grunting noises
not far from them. It sounded as if someone's mouth was covered, in pain, but wasn't able to cry out. The noises themselves were enough to make one feel uncomfortable.

Mu Jungkook....

She frowned and walked toward that direction.

Shen Mingyu , noticing her odd look, followed her closely.

Outside the venue, the lights were mottled by trees.

There was, however, a spot where the shadows did
not move with the wind, as though a few people were hidden inside of it. The closer Xu Lisa got, the
clearer the grunts and they entered straight into her
ears. Along with the grunts were the muffled noises
made by a dull weapon beating down on a human
body.

She walked around the nicely-trimmed bushes
before she was understand what had happened in
the dark.

A chubby man had something shoved in his mouth,
and both of his arms were tied up behind his back.

His face and noses were bruised and he was lying
on the ground. A few bodyguards standing nearby
with sleeves of their button-down shirts rolled up to
their elbows, obviously just manhandled someone.

The few bodyguards obviously belonged to Bai Jimin.

Next to the bodyguards, Mu Jungkook was leaning
against a tree branch, smoking. His eagle-like
eyes, filled with contempt, sparkled with terrifying
ferociousness.

Just by standing there, he exuded a thick sense of
pressure.

Xu Lisa looked at the well beaten man lying on the
ground. At this very moment, she could clearly sense
the villain aura radiated from Mu Jungkook.

The chubby man struggled up and wanted to explain
something, but was kicked back down mercilessly by one of the bodyguards.

"Didn't I say it clearly that I don't want to see any of
his men near me?" Mu Jungkook's deep voice, mixed
with the cigarette smoke, seemed even duller and more ruthless. "The old man let you follow me all
the way here. I guess he didn't plan on your safe
return?"

He flicked his cigarette butt accurately at the man's
wound before he stepped on it forcefully. The man
shuddered his fat body and moaned in pain.

Xu Lisa knew that "the old man" that Mu Jungkook
was referring to must be Mu Jiyong, his father.

The two of them were more like arcnemesis than
father and son, but nothing was mentioned in the
original novel as to why that was.

She also knew that the entire Mu's, except for mu
Jungkook, were currently in New Zealand.

She could gather from their conversation that the
man who was beaten up was sent by Mu Jiyong,
presumably to surveil Mu Jungkook while they were
away.

Xu Lisa didn't want to get involved with his family
matters and was about to turn around and leave when he heard Mu Jungkook asking him in a deep voice, "Speak. Where is Xu Lisa?"

She stopped in her way and turned back around to
look at him.

The man laying on the ground shook his head
violently.

"Where did you take her?” Mu Jungkook increased the pressure on his leg. Bead-size sweat poured down the chubby man's forehead. "If anything
happens to her, I will kill your entire family."
