Tae Rin-Cha
It's been a month since the worst incident in my life. The trauma was unbearable at first, but Jin-Woo stuck by my side the whole time, helping me cope. I still remembered each moment so vividly; men running into my home, taking me away, and forcing Jin-Woo to save me. They had given me a serum that revealed where the only weakness Jin-Woo had laid, and that was now destroyed. I was too weak to protect myself from them, even though I was an S Rank.
I had managed to kill four with the help of Jin-Woo's shadow soldiers he attached to me, but as soon as I was shot in the back with the serum, it all began falling downhill.
The only poison he wasn't immune to was hidden in my belt, locked with a seal and many codes. I was forced to open it, and they used all of it to coat Zhong Tan-Chin's blade. Yes, it was him once again.
His sick obsession with me was his downfall, and that is how he lost his life fighting against the man I love. Luckily, he would never harm me again, now that he was finally out of the world. I was free to live my life with Jin-Woo, and stay by his side for the rest of my life. I had debated getting a ring for him, and was now saving up as much as I could. I still hadn't visited any stores, but I was planning to tomorrow.
I had been back in my home for the past two weeks, and we had to do some cleaning before fully moving back in. Our coffee table was replaced, the kitchen sink and some drawers were also changed and dismantled, and we had changed our carpet. There were glass molecules all over it, so there was no way we could have kept it.
It was now December 20th, five days before Christmas. I wanted to get him the ring before Christmas, but I don't think I would ever have the time. Maybe for New Years, then. Yeah, that sounds good.
"Rin-Cha! Are you coming?"
I heard his voice and hopped off the bed, rushing down the stairs. He stood by it, staring at the phone.
"You still haven't told me where we're going, Jin-Woo. How long are you planning to keep this from me?" I whined, and he let out a small chuckle. With a head pat, he pulled me out the door, and locked it tight.
I grabbed his hand and interlocked our fingers, making him give me a sigh of joyousness.
We walked out of our house and around the neighborhood for a bit, letting the snow crunch below our feet. It was a winter wonderland right now, which made the air even colder than it already was. Though, I didn't mind. I was in a puffy winter coat and proper boots, so there wasn't any cold in my system at all. Also being squished into Jin-Woo's abnormally hot body heat also helped a lot, so I was quite comfortable.
"Coffee?"
I nodded happily as we walked into the café he was pointing at, and skipped with him inside. We ordered our drinks and sat down comfortably. There was a heated fireplace that I sat next to, him next to me. Snuggling up to him, I breathed in his scent. A mix of his usual deodorant and coffee lingered near his face, and I kissed his shaved stubble. Thank god so he always got rid of it, or I'd be shaving it off for him every day.
"I need to bring you somewhere after this, do you trust me?"
I looked at him, a bit puzzled. "Yes, of course I trust you. Any hints as to where it is?"
He wagged a finger at me and brought it to my nose with a light tap. I smiled at the contact, and cozied up to him a bit more. I had already finished my coffee, but I kept the warm cup still in my hands.
As he stood up without warning, I stumbled up to stand, a bit angry. I pouted at him for moving and leaving my side, but I could tell he was very worried about something.
