AZRIEL POV

Feyre made me sit beside her after I attacked Eris. being tortured for eternity was not enough for him to pay for his crimes.

After everything he did to Mor, he still dared to speak to her that way. I would have ripped him to shreds if my high lady weren't there. Enjoying every moment of it.

"They are my family," said feyre "I don't care if we are allies in this war. If you insult my friend again, I won't stop him the next time."

"Apoligies, Morrigan." said Eris. His father gawked at those words. I loved seeing that expression on his face.

Eris faced Kallias with a smirk and continued, "Kallias, where is your sister? It's been a while since I saw her pretty face. Tell her to visit the autumn court for me, will you?"

The bastard moved from degrading one woman to another so quickly. If Kallias let another word slip from Eris' mouth then I would have killed Eris then and there. It didn't matter that Kallias' sister wasn't a part of my court.

but the high lord of the winter court's face went colder than I had ever seen it.

"If you speak ill of my sister, I can assure you that she will not hesitate to hurt you, Eris Vanserra." Kallias warned with his teeth gritted, "And I hope you don't get your hopes too high if you want to court her. Men who watch their families do horrible things to women aren't really her type. Nor does she like bastards."

That shut Eris up.

I had heard stories about the second-in-command to the high lord of the winter court. She was said to be a spy as good as me. Apparently, her powers were equivalent to her brother's and she could merge into the shadows...just like me.

Kallias' words made it clear that his sister could take care of herself.

Eris had been pursuing her for quite a few decades now. seemed like a few punches and 'fuck offs' weren't enough to give the message that she didn't want to be with him.

Beron, Tamlin, and Tarquin left one by one. Leaving only Killias and Viviane, helion, Thesan and his lover, and us.

"Why didn't Nivis come?" Mor asked Viviane while they were gossiping.

"She is making sure that our troops are in their best shape." Viviane answered, "After what happened to the children- she's been working extremely hard to make sure nothing like that happens again."

I heard about the children. Some people from the winter court rebelled against Amarantha and to punish them she killed the rebels and two dozen children. Kallias had protected his mate and his sister the same way Rhys protected us. But his sister wasn't able to reach the children in time to save them.

"I'm sorry for that. I can't apologize enough for not being able to stop Amarantha. But it wasn't me. I promise." Rhys said to Kallias, his voice filled with sorrow.

Kallias simply nodded and walked away with his mate.
