There is a shimmering divide between imagination and reality,
You get to live on one side or the other.
But you, my dear, reside in both
You wear the divide,
Clothes that swirl and twirl like the galaxy. You know what the real world is like,
Yet you bring imagination into it.
You're a conduit for greatness,
You made your world the way it is.
No one can change the world you made in your mind,
With colors of gold, with silver twine.
You are the master of what others can't see,
Just maybe one day you'll share with me.
We could stay there with no cost or fare,
Because the real world is harsh and causes wear.
A weary soul can be lifted by what they find,
But only if it is within their mind.
Though it seems like a safe place,
There are monsters in that sacred space.
They bring evil into your world,
With dark intentions yet unfurled.
Guard your haven or it shall be forsaken,
Protect it with all your heart.
If they take it away,
The world will turn gray,
And you will fall apart.
My world was stolen from me,
I can no longer be free,
Since now I'm only a member of reality.
