Will tried and tried to swim up but it was like the water grabbed a hold of his foot dragging him down no matter how hard he struggled. He managed to catch a glimpse of Emma and saw her slow down her struggles and almost lose consciousness. Will tried to swim to her but that was when a gianto whirlpool swallowed them, knocking them both out.
He didn't know how many minutes had been since they were knocked out. He woke up floating and coughing up water. Will straightened up, looking all around him for Emma. He finally located her, a little further away to his left. Will swam up to her and shook Emma to wake up.
"Emma! Wake up!" Will shouted while shaking her. She started coughing and flapping her arms around straightening up while catching her breath.
"Did we do it? Are we in Dreyvina?" asked Emma looking around.
"No, we're in Las Vegas!" He says sarcastically
"Of course we are in Dreyvina!" Will snaps at her.
"Alright! Come on, let's get to land." She said as she started to swim away.
As they reached shore they lay down on the sand catching their breaths. As Will lay there he looked up at the sky, which was a dark purple, pink-ish color. He could also see Saturn in the sky along with some stars.
"We should camp out in the forest until morning and dry up." Emma said, still laying down.
"Yeah, let's go" He said, getting up and heading towards the forest. With Emma walking a few steps behind him. While they were walking Will looked around looking at the view of this land. It looked like a real fairyland, like the ones we see in movies but a little darker and gloomier. The castle, which you could see through the tall trees of the forest, was standing up on top of a cliff. It was a dark, small, and medieval castle.

Will was finishing up their shelter which he built with tree branches they found on
the floor along the way to a place far away from the center of Dreyvina, and somewhere nobody would wonder. When he finally finished the shelter, walked towards Emma who was sitting on a tree trunk in front of a fire she built, so they could dry up and stay warm. He sat down towards her and put his hands over the fire to warm them up.
"So..." Will said, trying to start a conversation to escape the awkwardness between them.
"So." she said back, staring at the orange flames. Will gave up on trying to say something and just stared at the fire too. But something shiny caught the corner of his eye. When he looked it was a rose golden necklace around her neck, which he recognized. It was the Locket he gave her when they were little, which surprised him. Will thought she would've thrown away anything that had to do with him.
"You still have that necklace?" He said, trying to keep his voice casual and even. As soon as he asked, he saw her freeze, then look down trying to hide a blush.
"It's a pretty necklace." Emma said dismissively.
"I honestly thought you would've thrown it away." he said, while he let out a
humorless chuckle.

"Honestly," she said, looking at him for the first time with a guilty smile, "I thought I did too. But apparently I hadn't, I couldn't. I found it a few days ago."
"Couldn't?"
Emma sighed "I don't know, I guess a part of me wanted to hold on to the part of my life I was actually happy and didn't have so much baggage." When she said that sentence, Will felt his heart break. He never actually thought about how it would be lonely for her too. Losing the person she was closest to. He put his hand under her chin, so she could look at him, but she didn't make eye contact.
"Hey, look at me." Will said, softly. And she did, shyly.
"What?" Emma said barely audibly.
"I'm sorry." he whispered right before he kissed her. It was a few seconds in shock before she started to kiss him back. It was sweeter than their first kiss. After a long moment, but still too soon, she pulled away, looking back at the fire. Will did the same with a small smile on his lips. But it soon faded when he remembered that eventually he will pay for all his sins.
