Two Weeks Later...
Mark's POV
I sighed as I looked around the living room, making sure one last time that it was clean. I had invited Bob and Wade over to tell them that Yami and I were dating, and we were both pretty nervous. Yami was already on the couch, his knees pulled up to his chest. I sat down next to Yami and held his hand, squeezing it reassuringly. Yami looked up at me and smiled nervously, and I kissed him on the nose. He giggled and kissed my nose, then glanced at the door. "When did they say they'd get here?", Yami asked quietly. "They said they'd be here by three, and it's...", I trailed off, glancing at my watch. "It's two fifty seven now, so they should be here any minute.", I finished. Yami nodded and glanced around the room nervously, twiddling his thumbs.
"Yami, don't worry. Everything will be fine.", I said, pulling Yami into a hug. Yami was silent for a moment, then he whispered, "What if they hate you because of me?" I frowned and pulled away from Yami so I could see his face, and my heart began to ache when I saw tears in his eyes. "Yami, if they hate me because of something I can't change, and wouldn't change, then they're in the wrong. If they don't like the fact that we're in love with each other, then they can hate me all they want. None of that'll matter if I have you.", I said, kissing Yami on the lips gently. His eyes fluttered shut and he kissed back hungrily, tilting his head to deepen the kiss. Yami tangled his fingers in my hair, pulling us closer together. I broke apart from Yami and smirked, then teased, "At this rate, we won't need to tell Bob and Wade we're together, they'll be able to tell by the bruises on your neck."
Yami blushed and adjusted the collar of his shirt, trying to cover up the purple and red bruises scattered across his neck and collarbone. "Well, your the one that likes to bite.", Yami grumbled, pouting up at me. I snickered and retorted, "Your the one that let's me!" Yami's face turned red and he opened his mouth to reply, but the doorbell rang before he could say anything. "That's probably Bob and Wade.", I said as I walked over to the door. I looked in the peephole and saw Bob rolling his eyes at Wade, who was making weird faces at the door. "Yeah, it's them!", I called, throwing the door open. "Hello Bob, hello Wade!", I said, smiling at them. "Hi Mark, hi Yami!", Wade yelled, making Bob cringe. "He's been like this the whole drive over.", Bob complained, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I am so sorry you had to deal with him, come on in and have an aspirin or seven.", I apologized, leading them to the living room. Yami had followed me to the door earlier, and now he sat down on the love seat. Bob and Wade took the couch, and I sat down next to Yami. "So Mark, what was it you invited us over for?", Bob asked. I looked over at Yami and he stared at his lap, staying quiet. I rolled my eyes and replied, "Well, Yami and I needed to tell you two something important." Yami glanced up at them and nodded, his face still red from before. Bob looked at us suspiciously, and Wade was too busy staring at a moth in the room to pay attention. Bob looked over at Wade and jabbed him in the ribs, getting his attention. "Sorry about that, please continue Mark.", Bob said, ignoring Wade's pained, "Ow, what was that for?" I smiled and grabbed Yami's hand, then announced, "Yami and I are dating!"
Bob and Wade just stared at us, then Bob cheered, "Yes, I knew it!" He turned to Wade and smirked, then demanded, "Alright Wade, I win! Hand over the money!" Wade scowled and pulled twenty bucks out of his pocket and handed it to Bob, then glared at Yami and I. "You guys couldn't have waited one more week?", Wade asked, making me even more confused. "Were you two betting on us?", Yami asked. "Yeah, Wade thought it would take you guys six weeks to get together, I figured five! We made a little bet, and I won, so suck it Wade!", Bob explained, yelling the last bit. Wade sighed dramatically and said, "Well, I didn't think they'd get together that quickly!" Yami and I looked at each other and burst into giggles, which turned into full on laughter!
Now it was Bob and Wade's turn to look at us like we'd grown an extra head, and I explained, "W-we were so worried that guys might hate us!" Bob scoffed and said, "Mark, I've known you were in love with Yami since the first time I heard you talk about him!" Wade nodded and added, "Besides, Shane called me after Yami left and told me that he was acting funny! I think he'll be glad to know he was right about Yami liking Mark!" Yami blushed and murmured, "So that's why he was acting weird on the drive over." I just smiled, glad that my friends accepted us. "So, when are you two gonna tell the fans?", Bob asked. "Well, the charity livestream is next week, and the fans already know that Yami will be here for it, so we figured we could tell them then.", I replied, glancing down at Yami.
"Yeah, I figure the chat will blow up when we tell them!", Yami said, giggling again. Dammit, he shouldn't be allowed to be that adorable! "Yami, the chat is always blowing up.", Wade said. "Oh yeah, then it'll probably go dead quiet for a moment!", Yami replied. "Think of all the shippers that tune in, they'll go nuts!", Bob said. "They'll be all like, OMG Markimash is canon, now I can write fan fics without being weird!", Wade chimed in, waving his hands around when he acted like a shipper. "Yeah, it'll be pandemonium!", Bob added. "I bet they'll make a lot more fanart of you two!", Wade continued. I scoffed and replied, "Oh please, they already started making more fanart when they found out Yami was staying with me." Yami nodded and said, "It's true, they even started sending some of them in the mail! I'm honestly a little scared to open them." Bob laughed and said, "I don't blame you one bit Yami, I'd be scared too!"
Wade suddenly perked up and said, "Speaking of fanart, a woman saw me yesterday and told me to give this to you too! Said something about it going with the notebook she got you!" Wade pulled a pen out of his pocket and handed it to me. "Wait a minute, what did she look like?", I asked suspiciously. Wade stroked his chin and answered, "Well, she had dark brown hair that was super curly, and it was pretty long too, and she had really intense blue-grey eyes! I think she said her name was Maria or something like that." Yami snapped his head up and offered, "Melody?" Wade nodded and said, "Yeah, it was Melody!" Bob looked back and forth between Yami and I, and I stood up to get the notebook. "Hang on, I'll be right back!", I called. I ran to the kitchen and found the notebook, and opened it to the first page.
Yami ran in after me, and we stared at the notebook. The first page, it wasn't blank anymore!
Aha, you all thought that notebook had no purpose! Well, I never include something if it isn't important, and now it's coming back into play! So, just why is the notebook important? What's the deal with the special pen? Why did I write Wade to be so absent minded?

Stay With Me (Markimash)
FanfictionOkay, so in my other story "The Contract", I had a little part in it with some fluffy Markimash goodness. I've decided to actually write a story based on that bit, with the backstory and what happened after Melody and Loki left. It'll be cute, may...
