KABIR'S POV

I was hell-nervous, my palms were sweating badly and my heart was beating so loudly against my ribcage, I didn't feel this way when I had shot my first target. This is all happening because I am here at Sara's house asking her hand from her family. Everyone is here with me except Boss and Ma'am as they are on their way, they had a separate cars and it will take them more time to reach here. Sara is upstairs trying to explain everything to her father and brother. I am hell worried for her, as her relationship with them is not good, they weren't even on talking terms but she wanted to inform them about the marriage to include them in her happiness.

''Calm down, Kabir you are making her dizzy'' Raghav said and I notice Shrishti massaging her forehead light it made me realise it would be uneasy for her, I quickly my apology to her and sat down. Tapping my feet on the floor, I rubbed my neck nervously. What is taking her so long? Then we heard some shouts coming through the stairs, and my eyes darted there as Sara was stomping out in anger, her hair was a mess as if someone pulled it and her eyes were red.

''Let's go Kabir'' she said and held my hand dragging me with her. Her eyes were filled with tears, but what caught my attention was a red fingerprint mark on her cheeks, my blood boiled seeing it, I helped her hand firmly and rubbed my thumb over her cheek which made her winch in pain.

''Who was the reason behind this Sara'' I questioned her softly when the son and father duo entered. Her eyes were cast down which doesn't settle well with me.

''Leave it, Kabir, let's just go from here'' she said weekly and my anger rose, I am controlling myself so hard. I will fucking burn the person who is behind this, doesn't matter if it's her own family.

''I want my answer, Sara'' I asked in a seriousness dripping from my voice, she looked at me and understood this is the last time I will ask.

''Dad'' she whispered in a very inaudible voice because she don't want me to hear but I did. I left her cheeks and stood in front of her dad. My jaw was clenched in anger, my knuckles were aching to punch the hell out of him.

''How you fucking dare you'' I gritted each word of mine, although my hands are hurting to empty the whole bullets in his head, I am just calm because he is my girl's father.

''She is my daughter and I can do whatever, who the hell are you to interfere'' he said in the same anger pitching his tone high, I griped my waistband which wanted me to free my gun and show him who I am to her.

''Obviously, I would interfere, you bloody dare to hit my soon-to-be wife'' I mustered making him clear, each word. Ignoring me he directly went to Sara and gave her a heated look.

''Look Sara because of you a mere bodyguard has the audacity to raise his voice on me, such a pathetic excuse of a child you are'' he said and held her wrist tightly in a painful grip making her gasp in ache. This is the limit of my calmness, before I can reach him Raghav beat me up and lunged him away from her. Whereas Shrishti and Mishti held her to support. He was imbalanced and fell on the floor, his son came in defence and held him for support.

''Shut up dont say a word to her'' I growled and took out my gun, pointing at him I gave him an ultimate warning.

''Sara look how he is behaving, when he is treating dad like this then think how is he going to treat you after marriage'' his brother yelled at her which made her flinch in her position.

''We just want you happy and respectable life and he is not the one who can give you that. He doesn't even have a family, how can you live with bloody orphan good knows what blood is running down to his veins, his behaviour clearly says that he is a fatherless man'' my eyes snapped at his brother, his degrading words doesn't hurt me, as I heard them before but it just stung that even whatever position I am people still judge for not having a father. I was rooted in my place and closed my eyes in frustration.
