The new fifth-year Slytherin prefects Marcus Flint and Adoria Nimble lead the first-year Slytherin students down to their house.

Mattheo and Lorenzo definitely feel like they don't belong in this crowd. All of the dirty looks that they're getting from the other Slytherins are obvious. A lot of these kids are the children of Voldemort's followers. They see Mattheo as an outlet for their rage, since most of their parents went to prison after Voldemort's demise.

  Artemis finds that she doesn't get as many dirty looks, since she's friends with Draco and some of the other Slytherin boys. It's mainly the other Slytherin girls; Iris Lestrange, Pansy Parkinson, Imelda Reyes, Daphne Greengrass and Astoria Greengrass. Satan's minions.

  The first-years led down the dark spiral staircase to the dungeons. The Slytherin common room and dormitories run underground and underneath the Black Lake.

"This is the fastest path to the dormitories from the Great Hall" Flint shouts back to the first-years, he really has no interest in this, he just wants the power that's associated with the role of prefect. A very Slytherin outlook on the role.

"And we're only going to show you guys once. So, make sure that you are watching. If you get lost, then it's your problem" Adoria shouts back to the students. Caring even less than Marcus about the role.

Adoria seems equally as vicious as Marcus Flint. Except Marcus looks like a gorilla and Adoria looks like a princess. If it wasn't for her foul attitude then Mattheo might actually find her slightly attractive.

The dungeons are a dark and cold place so it's not a shock that Slytherin house would be located in such a place. The darkest part of the castle where no other students would dare to wander.

"They're actually going to give us beds aren't they?" Mattheo asks out of the side of his mouth to Artemis, Lorenzo and Frey.

  Sleeping on the floor was not in Mattheo's expectations of how their first night in the castle would go.

  Artemis and Lorenzo have never seen the Slytherin Common Room. Artemis never saw it when she took tours of the castle or attended family events for Atlas in the past few years. And Lorenzo was very rarely allowed out of his house, when he was with his biological parents, and then when he was with the Weasleys he avoided anything to do with Slytherin or dark magic.

  "I wouldn't like to guess what these people want to do to us" Lorenzo offers to Mattheo. "I can actually feel them giving us evil glares, I can feel their hatred radiating from them" Lorenzo offers the group.

  "This is Slytherin, power is currency, so try not to show weakness" Artemis advises Mattheo and Frey. "The strong survive" Artemis tells the two without a clue.

  "I have no issue with knocking a few heads together if I have to" Frey doesn't seem to lack any sort of confidence, a strange trait when she doesn't know anything about herself.

  "That's badass" Lorenzo chuckles to Frey. "All the rest of Slytherin might be power-hungry monsters, but that doesn't mean we have to be monsters" Lorenzo says.

  The other students look like they belong together. Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and Zabini have all made their own little group. And Mattheo and Lorenzo are both worried they're going to get jumped in their sleep.
