PHILOSOPHER.
Chapter 06.
╚═══════

The crimson train pulls into Hogsmeade station (the village that sits just outside of Hogwarts). All of the older students take self-pulled carriages up to the castle - while all of the first years travel by boat over the Black Lake.

Mattheo hops out of the train to see hundreds of students all baring a coloured trim on their robes. They are making their way up to the carriage. It's easy to spot the first-years by their plain black blazers, they will be given a colour once they're sorted into their houses.

"Firs'-years, over 'ere!" Hagrid's voice screams out over the dark station. The giant of a man is waiting at the end of the station with a large lantern in his hands.

"Mattheo!" Delphini calls to her brother. She finds him on the station.

Delphini had a marvellous journey on the train with the Weasleys and Lorenzo. They have a lot of friends in the castle, like Lee Jordan and other older students that are a laugh. Ron even has some friends from family connections, like Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom.

"Delphini" he smiles back.

"So?" Delphini asks, with a knowing smile.

"So?" Mattheo is a little confused.

"Wow! I walked past your compartment three times on the journey, and you were engrossed in a conversation with a girl the entire time" Delphini giggles. "I know I told you to get your head out of a book, but I didn't think you'd spent all day talking to a girl. How very un-Mattheo of you" Delphini smiles to her brother.

It's a nice surprise to see Mattheo interest in a girl, and not in some fictional-girl in one of his books.

Mattheo tries to hide his smile, he pushes his sister by the shoulder. "Shut up. We were talking about books" Mattheo tells Delphini. It was the best conversation Mattheo has ever had with someone.

The twins join the first-years that are being ushered into a huddle.

"...my older brother told me that we have to duel a troll to find out our houses" Ron Weasley tells Harry Potter and Lorenzo.

Lorenzo, who is trying to blend into the crowd, listens with utter worry. He can fit in amongst his family, but the Slytherin students see him as an enemy.

"I heard it to be a dragon" Lorenzo decides to jump into the conversation.

They don't seem too startled by the words of the new kid that's shown up.

"My dad told me that you have to sing in front of the entire castle, and that the teachers decide if you're brave enough to keep around" Harry Potter clearly makes up on the spot to try and scare Ron and Lorenzo.

Mattheo chuckles. "It doesn't matter. We're all together aren't we? There's like 40 of us?" Mattheo chuckles, making the decision to try being social for a change.

Lorenzo recognises the boy as the one who helped on Platform 9 3/4.

"Don't let bullies get you down" Lorenzo recites. Now he feels the impact of those words, as they assuage his fear.
