Sebastian's POV:

I stood stunned. What in the world. Someone who was going to change my life yet I can't hold them back from fighting. Why in the world would I hold another one of my men back from fighting alongside their fellow brothers. This was probably one of the sorcerers vision things that they send out trying to tempt me into falling to the dark side like many other men do. Well not today, the prince of Sparta would no more deal with that. I walked away from the beach towards my torch lit castle. As soon as I stepped into it the hands of maids touched my arms and chest and began to put royal clothing on me and walk me into the grand room where I'm sure my father and the rest of our people sat waiting for me in order to start their meal.

" My son!" My father bellowed across the large room his voice hitting the walls and booming in my ears. "come sit on my right Sebastian." I walked stiffly through the families surrounding me, before bending over and sitting down next to him and picking a few olives out of the dish in front of me popping them in my mouth.

"You may all eat. " His voice boomed out again and the men around him viciously dug into the glistening meat. Then my father turned to me, stealing my attention from the crowd.

"Just wait until you own all of this-"

"Yeah if I don't die in war" I hissed under my breath. He straitened and leaned into me and violently whispered into my ear.

"You be quite son. The kingdom would never be yours if you hadn't been born into my blood line this is yours because of me."

"But if I die in battle there's no one left in that blood line,"

"You won't die,"

"How do you know that"

"I can feel it in my bones son"

"It doesn't matter father," I scoffed standing up now forgetting all of the delicious food that was around me. right now I was far to worried about the world around me changing.how can my father forget about his people and his land this is not worth giving up for some stupid mistake Athens made. If they spent less time in their arts and math books and studied warfare they would have known that this would come at some point due to their actions. Then my mind drifted back to the sorcerer. I was going to be the only man to survive. and If this was true I couldn't tell anyone because that's what fate had I store for our kingdom. I took a deep breath holding it in my lungs as I weaved my way in between the families that surrounded me. If it wasn't dark I would have returned back to the sea. however not having enough moonlight to see the land from the ocean was not a good idea. I would just have to retire to my room and try to sleep off my emotions and hope that my father would drink enough of the wines to forget about all of this nonsense and leave me in control of the kingdom while he is away at war, but a small part of me knew that there was no way he would ever forget this even though it was only a small army coming with him.

Eirene's POV:

I woke up to a calming ocean breeze just as some sunlight was peeking through my crack of a window. My mind was fuzzy with sleep so I lay stretching out my muscles, sighing at the wonderful feeling. I giggled realizing I looked like one of those cats when they wake up. Then all of the previous day came flooding back into my memory. My father was going to the court of Athens! I immediately sat up with a new-found awareness, reaching quickly for my mans clothes I threw my wrap over my breasts and the rest of my male toga. I was probably too late to make the journey into town with him but right now. I didn't care I was going to feel the earth between my toes and run as fast as the creature they call the cheetah from some tall tales the adventurous elders told us about. I laughed to myself, he wouldn't even see this coming. I quickly shuffled my way out of the living space the fire still glowing a pale red as it had died overnight. I didn't bother with my leathers for my feet I just picked them up and bolted out the door my floppy hat threatening to fall, releasing my long hair. It was terrible but I grabbed the hat and pulled that off and held it in my other hand and began to run feeling freer that I had ever. If i could I probably would have let out a scream but its probably better not to freak out all the other travelers on my route into the city. I quickly put my thoughts back into place and fully returned to my mission of stopping my father and not looking like a crazy woman. though I think if i had it my way, I would totally be that person.

***30 minutes later***

I arrived panting in the city square. I'm sure at this point I was drawing a large amount of attention to myself which wasn't the plan but who wouldn't notice a panting woman in men's clothes standing among famous philosophers, artisans and politicians, oh and of course our beautiful white glistening temples. worriedly i began to search for my father. why couldn't I find him among all o these people I knew that we weren't rich so that should have made us easier to find. now that I think that I'm sure it wasn't the nicest thing to think yet It was the truth. stop! mentally slapping myself before going back to my search when My eyes landed on the back of his head as he stepped into the cool shade of the council building. Now, just get through all these people without being super noticeable and then accept my stupid request to go to war so that my father wouldn't have to worry about the punishment and family disgrace that declining the notice would bring. I zig-zaged through the crowd and made it with a leap into the building. I was ready to go to war.
