The Ninja are all silent for a moment, as Jay looks at the Realm Crystal in his hands, bewildered. He feels the sculpt, and allows the sharp edges to prick him just to make sure he isn't dreaming. So many things can be said at this moment; this is an honor, I can't handle this, why me, and so on.

"WHAT!!" is what Jay ends up sputtering out. "OF ALL PEOPLE!!"

"Even I did not see that coming," Zane comments, chuckling. "But why would I? I'm a normal human ninja."

Jay fumbles through his words for a minute. "W- I- why? Why me?"

"What I should start teaching you all more about are burdens," Wu begins, "though they are already something you've experienced a good bit as ninja. But times will get tougher than they've ever been before, and burdens are always carried through them. This is a way of training you, Jay, for those times. For keeping the Realm Crystal and protecting it is a burden. Which is why I plan for you all to take turns."

"So I'm not going to have to keep this for the rest of my life?" Jay asks, a bit of relief calming his confused and worried face.

"Ha! No! I couldn't trust you with the Realm Crystal for that long without breaking it!" Wu cackles.

Jay mumbles to himself, offended; "Ouch."

"So, as I said, you all will be taking turns. Every week we'll pass it off in a rotation. I'll text you all a schedule." Wu informs. Later on, that'd be tricky for the old man, who can't figure out most technology in general.

"Ok. . . are you sure that I can handle this?" Jay asks, looking at his Sensei hesitantly. His grip was somewhat loose on the Realm Crystal, wanting to give it back.

"Eh, you'll be fine."

2 Hours Later

Jay isn't at all fine. Jay is sick, his 101 Fahrenheit fever coming out of the blue (pun somewhat intended). His stomach hurt, he'd thrown up twice, he felt like he was freezing, and the medicine tasted absolutely terrible. He sat in his room and hugs his pillow, watching a video on his phone. The video, of course, like most of the internet, is a rather braindead and stupid.

A knock is sudden on Jay's paint-decaying door, and Jay lets his mom in.

"How are you feeling, sweetie?" Jay's mom asks.

Jay shrugs, tiredly. "Like I'm sick." He groans, retreating back to his blue-blanketed bed and falling down on it. He grabs his blankets aggressively, shielding himself with them. He breathes shakily and shivers, his body telling him that the temperature was no better for him under the covers.

"Do you need some more Ibuprofen or anything? Are you hungry or thirsty?" Jay's mom replies quickly.

"Uhm, no, your mac and cheese was good enough." Jay chuckles, rather sadly.

His mom frowns at this. "You threw that up, dear." She said, reminding him of the yellow mesh that Jay's dad has been cleaning off the dining room carpet. "You really should eat something, sweetie."

Jay groans. "Fine. Cereal, please."

"I don't know if your body would like the mi-"

"Dry cereal, then."

Sweetios are not as sweet as the majority in Ninjago believe, Jay learns, for the cereal his mom had given him aren't much better than his own medicine. They were crunchy-- and that was the only good thing. The outer shell was, anyways. The inside has a bunch of "sweet" stuff, but nobody really knew what it was. And a lot of people avoid it because of that, mainly people with food allergies. The sweet stuff gives off the texture of gummies, Jay figures out, and is sweet at first, before turning more bitter and awful than used gum. This only makes Jay feel sicker, and he sets it aside on his desk with the Realm Crystal.
