The rest of the ride to Hogwarts was kind of boring. No one seemed to want to talk, even me. Everyone went to get dressed as I had simply took out my small Ipod and listened to some comforting music with Ginny, who had finally calmed down. We finally arrived at the platform near Hogsmeade and we all started to get our trunks. I grabbed Seyfert while Harry got Hedwig and Hermione with Crookshanks. I could hear other owls and cats making noise as their owners got them. Neville's pet toad, Trevor, croaked loudly. We all hurried off of the train and stepped out on the platform which was freezing from the rain that came down relentlessly. I took a look around the sea of students.

“Where do I go?” I said into the air and it seems like someone heard me.

“First years this way!” a loud grunting voice announced.

Harry, Ron and Hermione turned their heads to the voice as well as I did to see the dark outline of a giant scruffy looking man at the other end of the platform.

“Jaden you go with Hagrid,” Harry said, pushing me towards the giant man.

“You guys can't come with me?” I asked them.

“We have to go with the others since it's our third year,” Harry comforted me with a weak smile.

“We're sorry Jaden. I wish we could,” Hermione sympathized for me. “We'll watch you get sorted into your house when we're all inside the castle, okay?”

“Hopefully you get into Gryffindor. Then you can eat with us at the feast!” Ron smiled.

I giggled at Ron and nodded my head. “You and food Ron Weasley, but alright! See you guys inside.”

I quickly made my way through the sea of students and ended up next to a few first years. Hagrid tried to talk over to Harry, Ron and Hermione, but they were only able to give him a wave before disappearing. I stood along with the first years as Hagrid gathered us up even more so we don't get lost. I got a few stares from the younger students. They were probably wondering why an older student was with the first years. A blonde haired girl next to me proved me right when she got my attention.

“Excuse me?” she asked me.

“Yes?” I responded.

“Aren't you suppose to be going with the older kids?” she questioned me while pointed to the, now leaving, older students.

“Nope!” I said with a grin. “I may be 13, but this is my first year too!”

“How can this be your first year?” an Asian boy piped in. “Did you miss the train for the past two years?”

“The first time I couldn't go because of some family stuff and I was in the hospital last year and didn't wake up until the day after school started,” I explained.

“Sounds like you've had some bad luck,” the boy frowned..

“But you're here now and that's what matters,” the girl said with a smile. The boy nodded and smiled too.

“Yeah,” I smiled with them. “I'm Jaden by the way. Jaden Hummings.”

“Agatha Gore,” she introduced herself with a small curtsey. “Pleasure to meet you.”

“Seoung, Hyun-Ki,” the boy waved. “But most people call me Key besides my parents. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you guys too!” I said.

“Alright first years! Follow me!” Hagrid said over us and started to lead us into the dark with his lamp.

Agatha, Key and I followed him along with all the other first years. I felt kind of weird since I was barely the tallest of the group children. Hagrid lead us to the shore of a lake and there, waiting for us, were small boats with lamps sticks sticking out.
