CW-Suicide.

--

Alex sighed as he stomped on his cigarette. Nowadays he couldn't feel a single thing.

Countless hookups, too many empty bottles in his room and too many bloodied bandages. He feels worn out, as if he's just going to collapse in on himself.

He's tired, exhausted. He sleeps, he sleeps so much, but everyday he's just tired, so so so tired.

He's tried everything, pills worked for a week, they stopped making him feel sad but instead just made him feel nothing, caffeine just makes sure he won't pass out at the slightest movement and he's tried to go to therapy, but it's just so embarrassing and...

He really can't take it anymore.

What good is living if anyone won't even care?

Jesse and him don't talk all that often, he knows she finds him pleasant enough but she has her own life and won't hesitate to just move on. She's got more important things than to just mope over a useless person.

Vander...he's not the best guardian for the kid. He's hardly been setting an example and has just been self absorbed in his pity party. The kid is better off without him.

Cruz...Cruz doesn't care about him. Not really.

He takes another step, his feet are right on the edge of the building.

It's almost midnight, he thinks. No one is outside. They'll find his body hours later.

He takes another step and falls forward.

For once in his life, Alexander Dalton feels his heart stop beating.

I forgot to feed Coco tonight, he blinks. Wait-

I don't think I wanna die anymore.

It's too late. And he closes his eyes, bracing himself before-

A hand grabs him and drags him forward, he quietly gasps and lands on his feet.

He looks back to find...Olivia Martin.

"Good night to you, sir", she nods, seemingly uninterested in what happened.

"Why did you...", he pauses. "Why?" He asks.

"It's my duty", she shrugs. "And my duty is to also take you into custody, you're a danger to yourself, Dalton".

He almost flinches. "It really doesn't matter", he breaths in and out and in and out and-

"I can always just go and tell Eduardo his assistant decided to go bungee jumping at midnight", she yawns. "Your choice".

Alex pauses. "I suppose you can...take me to my sister's", he sighs. "She's not on the Base however".

"I'm a fast swimmer", Olivia picked him up. "Or I can just throw you".

"Hilarious".

--

It was almost two in the morning when they arrived, Olivia's Gift certainly is useful to travel through oceans and she's a fast runner as well.

He knocked on the door and waited.

Olivia hasn't spoken to him since-so this is just awkward.

The door finally opened. "Hey, sorry but-", Ivy yawned.

"Ivy", Alex waved.

She blinked. He blinked.

"A-Alex?" She stammered. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I tried to kill myself and Martin caught me so-", he whispered, barely audible to even himself.

"OLIVIA MARTIN?!" Ivy shrieked.

Martin looked more uncomfortable than anything and waved.

"I'm sorry", Ivy exclaimed, "but what are you doing here?"

"I fell off a building", Alex said. "And Martin decided that you were the best choice".

Martin glared at him but he didn't say a thing.

"You fell off a-", she whispered before grabbing his face. "WHAT".

"Yeah, so now I have to stay with you because I'm a danger to myself", Alex shrugged.

"Oh", Ivy mumbled. "Alex...".

"It's late, let's just go to sleep", he muttered. "Night Martin".

The Hero was already gone when he looked back.

--

"Alex", Ivy shut the door. "Are you...okay?"

He sat on the couch. "I'm fine", he said, "maybe a bit tired".

Ivy hesitated before she sat down beside him. "I know we've been...I know we haven't had the best relationship for years now but", she placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're my baby brother and I'll always be there for you".

She regrets many things, but the biggest regret has always been that night.

"I'm fine, Ivy, I'm sorry for barging in but", he stopped, "this was really the only place I could go".

She frowned. "You're always welcome here, Alexander. Now, let's go cuddle on my bed, we can talk more in the morning".

Alex grumbled but didn't protest.

Ivy hesitated but hugged him, she was still taller than him after all these years.

He stiffened, seemingly taken off guard before he relaxed and hugged her back.

"Thank you...", he whispered. "Um".

She hugged him tighter.

He melted against her, she almost thought he was going to fall asleep before he started shaking.

"I was going to die, Ivy", he whispers, she only has a second to realize he's crying before his legs go weak.

She doesn't manage to hold him up but does manage to keep them from falling hard onto the floor.

"Sh, it's okay Alex".

"I was going to die...I wanted to die", he sobbed into her shirt.

"It's okay".

He eventually fell asleep.

--

Lukas was barely dozing off when his phone rang.

He grumbled before deciding it wasn't too important, probably work.

He just covered his head with the blanket, feeling content as the phone stopped ringing.

Then it rang again.

He stood up and grabbed it. "What is it now?"

Wh-Ivy?

He picked up. "What is it? I'm trying to get some sleep".

"It's about Alex".

He stilled.
