Three days. Hiccup was asleep for three days. This meant three days of pacing and worrying for Y/n. She had tried to distract herself by helping Gobber make Hiccups new leg, but she was never that good at smithing. She had done some sparring with Astrid but that just resulted in Astrid falling over and getting a rock stuck in her leg which Y/n had to remove while Astrid bit down on a stick. She had also tried to help Fishlegs, and the others make the village more dragon friendly. She had put up so many feeding stands she saw fish in her sleep. Now Y/n was standing outside hiccup's house tapping her foot. Finally, the door creaked open. "I knew it, I'm dead." Proclaimed Hiccup. "No but you gave it your best shot. So, what do you think?" Said Stoic as he turned to look around the village. "Turns out we just needed a little more of this." Stoic gestured to Hiccup."You just Gestured to all of me!" Gobber strode over to them. "Well almost all of you, the leg was my handywork, well Y/n helped." Hiccup turned to face her. "Y/n." Y/n grabbed his arm tightly. "You said you would be careful! You said-" But her words were cut off as Hiccup pushed his lips to hers. She could smell pine and leather again. Hiccup's lips were soft and warm. After a minute he finally pulled away."What was that for?" inquired Y/n."Oh, you know, just a thank you for saving my life and, well a couple other things." Y/n could feel that blush creeping up on her again, it had been happening quite a lot recently. She stepped backward."I-ah well um, date, tonight Cowrie Beach just after the moon falls?" Hiccup grinned."How about right now?" He grabbed her hand and began to lead her off toward the beach. Gobber turned to Stoic."Didn't think he had it in him." Stoic shook his head in disbelief."And I though the Haddock line was going to end with Hiccup."
