❝𝐎𝐮𝐮 Ajà this is cute!❞ Lani said, referring to a pajama set she had picked out. "Fasho, I don't know what shirt to wear though.." I said.
"Just wear sumn' calm you know?" Lani said, starting to walk to another section. "Man, you 'posted to be helping me" I mumbled.
So, I decided to look for a hoodie. As I was deciding on which hoodie to pick, my phone started to buzz.
I retrieved my phone from my back pocket & seen that Jaida was FaceTiming me. "Ajà bro you seen olegirl story??" Jaida laughed.
"Nah, hold on tho I'm finna put my AirPods on." I said. "Whole situation just funny as hell for real" Jaida said.
"Where you at ?" Jaida asked. "At the mall with Lani, now what happened!?" I said wanting to hear the rest of the story
"I'll tell you when you get back, you with my bae Lani tell her I said hey !!" Jaida said, dragging the 'y' & smiling. I rolled my eyes & as I was about to say something Jaylani called my name.

𝐈 called Jaida telling her that I was outside. I said my goodbyes to my sister. "Alright Sey see you later, I love you." Lani said as she gave me a hug & kiss.
"I love you too Lani, I'll text you!" I said gathering my bags & walking to the front door. As I was about to knock Jaida opened the door.
𝐈 put my knotless braids into my silky pink bonnet & walked out of the bathroom, back to Jaida's room.
"Okay so let me finish telling you, so I guess she posted a stop motion wit' somebody & ion' know if I'm trippin' but.."
Jaida said, showing me Kalaisha & Notti. I was confused. This gotta be old. I sat there spaced out thinking about what he told me when we were on the phone.
"Ajà? You good?"
"¡Hijas la comida esta lista!" mom shouted loud enough for us to hear. "C'mon dinner's ready." Jaida said, getting up from the bed.
We came downstairs, to the dining room to be specific. Momma poured some homemade punch into some glasses & came to sit down.
She had prepared some Grilled Tripletas & Fries. We held onto each other's hand as Ms.Fletcher began the prayer. "Amen." "Amen." Jaida & I said.
We began to eat & talk about school. "So how are the tutoring classes Jai?" she asked asked, biting into the sandwich.
"Uh.. it's cool you know, helping people & stuff.."

❝𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 when y'all was?❞ Jaida asked. "That's what I'm sayin' but he posted up wit' ole' girl & ion' want no parts."
What if it's just an old video?" I said. Jaida shrugged "I mean if that's what you wanna believe then..."
I sighed & brushed it off, at the moment it didn't really bother me.
We spent the rest of the night watching tv before falling asleep.
